You know how everyone is saying Girl Power when there are 2 women competing or if a Woman is on top or whatever, well, as if Male population needs more ego-tripping, I’m going to give props to the 2 Male contestants left on American Idol. Way To Go David Cook and David Archuleta!!. Male Power Indeed .

Chris Daughtry and His Hairy Chest @ 2007 American Music Awards Show

Dear Mr. Chris Daughtry,

Please ease up on the mascara and Please button up your shirt. I apologize with all my heart if you didn’t receive the memo that She Knows Best passed around 2 weeks ago. Unless of course your assistant thought she/he would play a cruel joke on you when you were deciding your outfit for the 2007 American Music Awards Show. If you got the memo you would’ve known that one of the Men’s Fashion Don’ts that SKB compiled on the list stated : DO NOT unbutton your shirt too far. Now that you are aware of this very important Men’s Fashion Don’s List we’d appreciate it if you fire you assistant who decided to play a joke on you or your stylist. OR, you could just opt not to show your hairy chest next time you receive more awards under Adult Contemporary category. Not that there’s anythiing wrong with hairy chest. SKB and DETAILS Men’s Style Manual would just prefer if you button your shirt. By the way, I thought you were a rock star? I must have mis-understood American Idol when they built you up during your cycle. I apologize. Nevertheless, congrats and please ease up on the mascara.

PS : I promise not to show my husband your picture. I wouldn’t want him to send you another memo of his own. That would just be too mean on my part.

Men and Make-Up

Did you watch the Season Finale of American Idol 6? If you did, were you wincing like me everytime they focused on Chris Daughtry’s perfectly plucked eyebrows and too-dark mascara lashes?

Men in Hollywood certainly do apply a little bit of powder-based foundation on their faces, respectively, before appearing on TV or movies. Coz you know, even if they’re bleeding from a gunshot, they still have to look good, right? So I’ll leave them alone. Besides, they don’t look as obvious like that guy in the picture who is pretending to play a guitar.

But, if you’re not in those category, I suggest you try to stay away from your wife/gf’s vanity area.

How about Chris? Is he an exception? Well, look at the picture above, then let me know. I mean, who does he think he is, a Rock Star?
