The newly added designs to Converse’s 100th Anniversary line are the Ozzy Osbourne and Pink Floyd collections.

Ozzy Osbourne. I like the black pair better. The “noisy” design looks better blended with solid black.

Besides The Doors, Pink Floyd design is probably my favorite from the 100th anniversary collections.

Converse Spring 2009 : The Who

In continuing the Converse 100th Anniversary which by the way unveiled musical icons designs from their 2008 Fall Collection (Grateful Dead, Black Sabbath, The Doors), Converse is unveiling more designs in their line up for Spring 2009. Like I promised when I showed you previews from the 2008 collection, let me show you Converse’s The Who collection right now.

The Who Converse Chuck Taylor All Star collection features the iconic brand of British Rock. The shoes feature the mod bulls-eye graphic, the Brittannia colors and The Who logo, respectively. Retail price goes for about $50-55.

The Pink Floyd and Ozzy collections will be out around February and March 2009. Come back then to see previews of the shoes.

Converse 100th Anniversary Fall Collection

Converse has always had a connection with music and pop culture. On it’s 100th Anniversary, Converse is unveiling a new Premium Inspired Footwear Collections for Fall 2008 to celebrate the undeniable connection with music and pop culture. The Converse key collections include the iconic influence from Grateful Dead, Black Sabbath, The Doors, The Who, Ozzy and Pink Floyd. The canvas shoes that has made everyone stylish, from day and night will launch these modern and uniquely inspired designs in both hi-top and low-top styles.

Grateful Dead : Alton Kelley’s and Stanley Mouse’s artwork from the graphic poster art in the 60’s and 70’s. Skulls and Roses is featured on the hi-top shoes ($49.99), while the famous dancing bears are prominently shown on the low-top shoes ($44.99). Available in black/blue/grenadine, black/bears, white/blue/grenadine leather, white/bears, white/grenadine/gold and white/multiple.

More Converse Premium Fall 2008 Collections after the fold…

Black Sabbath : A definite homage to Black Sabbath’s metal anthem, Iron Man, this collection has hard-core metal influence. Monochrome black leather uppers with metallic lining and Sabbath-signature purple accented linings. An iconic Black Sabbath artwork is featured on the Chuck Taylor All Star Shoe. While the Jack Purcell was treated with an industrial look and extreme attitude design. The Chuck Taylor All Star shoes come in high top black/white, black/white/gold and parchment/black canvas. Black Sabbath “we sold our sole for rock and roll” are available on Journeys.com and Journeys stores for $49.99

The Doors: The hi-top shoe was inspired by the song “The Unknown Soldier” evident in it’s military-style, combat-fatigue detailing and black soles. The white low-top version features The Doors logo which blends the canvas and rubber side wall into one. The Chuck Taylor All Star high-top shoe is available in vineyard green/black canvas or black/black leather. An oxford version is available in white/black canvas. Retailing to about $50-$100.

The Doors collection will drop at Journeys next month (November).

The Who collection will roll out on January 2009, Ozzy collection follows in February and Pink Floyd collection drops on March. I’ll feature them as soon as the roll out.

John Stamos In Suit & Chucks

I know I’ve said before that you shouldn’t wear sneakers with suit but John Stamos is an exception. John is not wearing a dress shirt, vest or tie with his suit. He opted for a casual suit look with white tee. Nothing formal about it which is why the Chucks worked perfectly. Uncle Jesse definitely still got it. I don’t think he ever lost it anyway .

PS: I’m going to copy this look for you guys but give me a bit of time coz it’s Saturday and well, Family beckons . Hopefully by tonight.

Converse Triple Deuce On Sale

My husband just bought a pair of this Converse Triple Deuce shoes at Show Show. In the website, it says it’s on sale for $39.98. But at the store, it’s on sale for $18. I know. He actually had a pair of Nike(will post it next) when he noticed this Converse black-red-white combo sneakers with the $18 tag attached to it. He tried it on and asked me how it looked which I approved of right away since I happen to like that color combination . He said he couldn’t pass up that sale price so I told him to go for it. I’m the bargain hot mama after all . So before you check out the website, you might want to check out your nearest Shoe Show store and see if they have the Converse Triple Deuce On sale for $18 in stock. Good Luck!

By the way, I love the navy blue pair. Blue is my favorite color so it’s no surprise there. Anyhooo, these canvas sneakers are the kind of shoes you could wear with jeans when you’re trying to do the Blazer with Jeans combo.
