CONS : The shade of Indigo can be intense. And of course since growing organically means a little more time and care, you’ll have to cough up more cash.

CARE : You can wash it inside out in cool water and set it on low heat to dry. Dry-cleaning is a no-no to save the environment.

PROS : Tight weaving makes Selvage Denim durable. The seams won’t fray. A spokeswoman for Levi’s, Amy Jasmer said if you like unfinished jeans look, Selvage is the best kind.

CONS : Selvage jeans are more expensive. The additional cotton and more time spent in amking a single pair make it so. Another con is that the dark dye will rub off onto light colored fabrics when it’s new.

CARE : Do not wash and dry. To keep the deep blue color, dry-clean instead but only a few times a year. Chemicals from dry-cleaning can still cause fading through the years.

BEST : The Denim Purist

AVOID IF : Not for distressed or embellished denims enthusiasts. Or if you refuse to spend more than $120

BEST BRANDS : APC, Levi’s Capital E, Rag and Bone, Uniqlo, Evisu.

RAW DENIM : Dark, unprocessed monochromatic denim that looks like it just rolled off the loom.

PROS : According to Jeff Shafer, owner of Agave Denimsmith, Raw Denim is incredibly rugged. Meaning the denim is in it’s purest form

CONS : It has stiff fabric therefore you have to break it in by wearing it many time before you’d feel comfortable in them. Watch out for waistline fluctuation caused by it’s rigidness.

CARE : Washing machine and dryer is not good for Raw Denim. These process will cause for the dye to bleed, hence the fading of the denim. Shafer highly suggests wearing ‘em until they stink and then dry-clean only.

BEST FOR : Lean body type

AVOID IF : Traveling or if you expect your jeans to be comfy right away.

Big Fat NAY, that’s for sure. This denim design  is just asking for a major spanking, heh.

Now this is totally different. The Japanese calligraphy on the pockets are not bad. This I could live with. I(and others) wouldn’t be laughing at your expense if I see you wearing this pair of jeans from the same designer. This kind of subtle graphic detail is more classy and doesn’t look totally desperate at all. If you’re willing to pay the sale price of $156 for a pair of denim jeans with a paint graphic on the be’-hind, might as well go for this one.

Oh Yeah, it’s a YAY .
