Would You Wear This Evisu Genes Embroidered ‘Sketch Diacock’ Jeans?

I kinda(slightly) felt bad for lambasting Evisu Genes’s Red and White Paint Daicock Jeans a few weeks ago but then I saw this Embroidered version of the Daicock design and well, I don’t feel so bad anymore. Maybe the designer thought the red and white paint ass graffitti was too bold so he decided to embroider the design instead. Look at the picture, sit down and relax. Now meditate(goodluck). Ask yourself, can you see yourself walking around anywhere, with that embroidered design on the back of your denim? If you’re the wife or gf, would you be caught dead walking side by side with a Man wearing this jeans? If your answer is Yes, respectively, well, all I could say is, More Power To Yah. It’s on sale for $359.90 by the way at Nordstrom. . From it’s original $540.

Why do I feel like washing my eyes with soap after looking at this picture? It must be because of the ridiculous price .

The 3rd collection under Paige Adams-Gellar jeans is called the JRG. Regardless of how you’re built, it’s relaxed fit cut makes it perfect for everyone. High rise it may be, the slouchy fit certainly makes it perfect for the office or a date.

Paige Premium Denim : Stone Canyon

The second collection under Paige Adams-Gellar’s jeans line is called Stone Canyon. I like this one coz even though it starts off with a slim fit, it flares at the knee to give it a roomy space for your legs not to mention the boot cut at the hem.

I definitely prefer this collection over Doheny, any day .

Paige Adams-Gellar just recently launched her Jeans line for Men. There are 6 different collections which makes it easier for Men to pick which fits them more perfectly or whichever style and cut they prefer. Who is Paige?

DETAILS Advice on Denim : The Skinny and The Trouser

So here’s the skinny, on this snug-fit, from the waist to the ankle jeans. I’ve already opined on this blasted thing – Unless you’re a British Rocker from the ’70s or the ’80’s, stay away from it-, BUT if you really must, much to my chagrined, DETAILS magazine shows you how to wear it. With a dark blazer, solid color collared shirt that’s tucked and a solid color tie with a tie-bar. Forego the sneakers, wear a lace-up pair instead.

Now this is more like it. The Trouser fit. It has more room for the thigh area all the way down to the ankles.

Wear a button-up shirt with a print-tie to give it an accented touch. Then a a trimmed V-neck sweater, finishing it off with a light colored lace-up shoes like the one from Acne Jeans.

DETAILS Advice on Denim : Faded Jeans

One of the features on the June/July issue of DETAILS is all about dressing up Denims. So SKB will go through it one by one just for you. Awwww! First up is the Faded Jeans.

It might look like it’s down to it’s last color due to constant washing and age so you’re thinking of throwing it away. Or you’re just stumped on ideas of what to wear with your light washed jeans. BUT, don’t give up yet. There’s still a solution out there. According to the experts at DETAILS, if you pair it with a banker-style shirt, add a dark tie with gold-tie bar, then finishing it off with a tailored jacket detailed with a square patterned pocket and you’ve come up with a modern twist for a suit. Not too shabby.

Yay or Nay : Skinny Jeans

On the upcoming June issue of Men’s Health magazine they featured a How-To article in wearing a denim. Adam Levine from Maroon 5 was their model. He is wearing Levi’s Capital E Stacked Skinny Jeans. It’s priced at about $180. Let’s forget the price for now. If I can’t wear a skinny jeans because of my huge hips from having 2 babies, eating rice and all my favorite dishes, then I’ll be damned if my husband can. No freaking way. LOL. Not only that, but unless you’re a British rocker still stucked in the 80’s or 70’s or whenever, please say NO to skinny jeans. I don’t care if you’re a front runner of a band and can very well afford a $180 jeans that needs to be dry cleaned coz if you wash this kind of jeans it will shrink, obviously. It is even stated in the Levi’s website:

A tight, skinny fit with a slightly low, pitched rise and riveted five-pocket styling. Leg is extra long to stack at the ankle. Our Golden Haze finish is dark, black-casted denim with a warm golden tint. Rigid Stretch is a dark warm shade of denim that’s tumbled for softness. Dry cleaning is recommended for Rigid Stretch. If washed, jeans will shrink approximately 1/2 inch in the waist and 2 inches in length.

Reading that quoted description, it’s just not practical no matter how you think your ass might look good in it. Sorry, but it’s a resounding NAY.
