The Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2008 collection was called by Tim Blanks as the ” idiosyncratic collisions of twentieth-century dress-up and twenty-first-century dress-down “. An infusion of glamour comfort collection with the combination of oversize shearlings and jumbo sweaters paired with ankle-ribbed pants. Fabrics such as jersey, corduroy, and velvet added with a rustic touch through tweed and houndstooth sure speaks volume of bravado.

More inquires came my way regarding an item I featured here at She Knows Best. This time though, it didn’t have anything to do with our usual suspect, aka David Beckham . This time around, it’s the “newsboy” grey tweed cap that Brad Pitt wore while strolling Central Park in NYC with daughter Zahara. You’d be happy to know that he wore the same cap at Deauville Film Festival promoting his new movie: “The Assassination Of Jesse James“. Dolce & Gabbana Men’s Fragrance, Light Blue

My husband and I are equally picky when it comes to perfumes. It’s got to be really nice, subtle and not too over powering. We’re always doing the “sniff” test on the packet samples usually found in magazines. We had a chance to do that with Dolce & Gabbana’s new fragrance for Men, Light Blue last weekend and surprisingly, we both liked it. A fruity/citrucy flavor yet subtled by the hint of woods and spice. Not bad at all.

While VERSACE showcased solid colors of suits, jackets and pants with pastel accents in undershirts and suits. D&G’s Spring/Summer 2008 collection focused on prints, military inspired look and accentuating the line with bulky scarves. Not only that, the Italian designer duo, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana also infused some beachwear in mini trunks style and bemuda shorts in bold floral prints and striped/print shirts as well.
Crocodile lace up shoes compliments the formal wear while wide-strapped sandals were paired with casuals.
