]]> DETAILS explains the Rules Of Khakis on the April issue of the magazine. Khaki Pants, as most of you already know, are the classic Summer Pants. That means Men should have at least a pair during the summer. Owning 2 pairs couldn’t hurt either.

COLORS — Tones from stone to tan. Light or faded khakis are perfect for Sundays while darker colors are good for office work.

LENGTH — Anything the hits the ankle or breaks slightly at the hem would be most preferable.

POCKETS — Classic pairs have 4 pockets. 2 in the front and 2 in the back. Don’t be afraid to get some with slanted pockets for a leaner look.

CUT — Straight leg cuts with a slight low rise would be your best bet.

MATERIAL — If it says “wrinkle-free” it’s not khakis. They should be 100% cotton, washed twills and poplins.

CUFFS — Practice the balance of uneven and neat cuffs. 1 inch wide then fold over 2 or 3 times then scrunch at the end.

]]> 07hubby_khaki_stripes1.jpg Much to my husband’s trepidation, he agreed to let me take a picture of him in his Dickie’s tan khaki pants, salmon pink stripes polo shirt and dark brown lace-up low-top boots, with some “cheapo” sunglasses. This was 30 minutes before we went to Church today, first day of July 2007. YAY! :)

I thought he looked quite nice in this casual get up which he always does but this was the first time he agreed to let me “physically” feature him here. Let’s hope it won’t be the last time.

BTW, you didn’t misread the color of his polo shirt. It’s salmon pink. That’s right. My husband is a REAL man coz he’s not afraid to wear pink ;) .

My Man(my inspiration for SKB :) ) went shopping, well we all did but since this is for Men’s Styling the focus is on him, heh. OLD NAVY is always been a favorite store when it comes to great fitting jeans/pants. Besides Levi’s. The dark brown and grey ringer tees were only $5.10 each. Great deals. The Loose-Fit Khaki Painter Jeans were on sale for only $13.99. 10 years of being married to a Bargain Fashionista has definitely rubbed off on him. Great job eh? :D

]]> I abhor ironing just as much as I do laundry. The first chore  is mostly because I always burn a part of my arm in the process. Hence, unless I really need to, I don’t iron my clothes or my husband’s clothes. Unfortunately, I always fill the dryer up to the hilt which is why his work clothes are wrinkly once they come out of the dryer. Much to his chagrined, he has to iron them just so he wouldn’t look like a slob. What can I say?, I’m a bad “laundry person” I guess.

I wonder if my dryer mishaps will work with the Never-Iron pants from Dockers. They apparently could go from the washer-to-the-dryer then onto you and the place you’re going to be in hassle-free. Heck, you might actually show up on time coz you didn’t just waste time ironing your pants that could’ve been prevented in the first place if your “laundry person” remembers not to shove 2 loads worth of clothes in the dryer. OK, enough with my blabber right?, where are the damn Never-Iron pants? :)
