Utilitarian Boots For Fall 2009

It’s a given that you will have a few pairs of boots to wear this Fall but give the season a little edge by picking at least 1 pair of Utilitarian boots. The tough, hardworking, macho, responsible, and focused vibes would surely shine with a pair of one of these boots.

Prada Lace-Up Boots features a combination of suede and leather with nylon trims and rubber lug sole. $570.

John Varvatos Harness Boots just look so sexy and oh so hot. I don’t know why but it does to me. $798

Ralph Lauren is not going to take this utilitarian boots trend laying down by contributing the Fidel Hiking Boots . Look at that green and black hand-burnished calf leather. I might get in trouble for saying this but it looks like a much much better looking Dr. Marten’s boots. $1500

Kellan Lutz Shops At Zara

Where does Twilight star Kellan Lutz shops for casual clothes? Well, he was spotted shopping at ZARA a few days ago. Here is Kellan Lutz wearing a dark brown long sleeves shirt, denims and a gray newsboy cap while shopping.

Interestingly enough, Kellan is surrounded by stripes and colors at the Zara store while he is wearing the basic solid colors. He was also wearing black boots by the way. Kellan had gray, brown, dark blue and black on that day. He sure seems like he is ready for Fall.

Although I feel like throwing a pop of bright colors in his outfit, heh. He looks fine. I hope he bought one of the stripes shirts though.

I’m excited to show you the Vintage Red Fall 2009 Collection. For inspiration, Vintage Red delved into Burberry, tartan, Union Jack navy and red, as well as Liberty prints.

Consider it as the old guards meeting the new ones. There are the classic Glen plaids, houndstooth, tartan piping, lattice prints brought to life by the bold and modern take on the gargoyle-inspired, heraldic and baroque graphics in flock and various embroidered treatments. You can’t ignore the signature Vintage Red design trademark of woven details inside and out as well as the velvet piping with contrast plackets and linings. This Fall/Winter collection also includes a motorcycle cropped jacket, softened and rumpled for an insouciant edge.

HUGO Boss Cardigans For Fall

Cardigans for Fall is a typically a preppy accessory but it has evolved throughout the years. More and more celebs, models, and fashion designers are showing that preppy can be sexy. I wish my husband would wear one someday but I’m not holding my breath, heh. If you have a body frame like David Beckham or Adam Levine (Maroon 5), then you’re one lucky guy coz cardigans look very stylish on lean bodies. IMO anyway. If you want to wear cardigans this Fall, go right ahead . How about some HUGO Boss cardigans.

AskMen.com predicts simple, clean and minimalist approach to this year’s Fall Jackets. Pea Coats with urban aristocrat vibe. Double breasted trench coat which is a given classic in any fashionista’s closet. Men and Women alike. The tuxedo style blazer. You can’t forget the bomber jackets. For a casual day, AskMen suggests a corduroy hoodie.

I myself is still enviously drooling over this white Burberry double-breasted pea coat on the left <–.

Roar Fearless SR Blazer

I’m usually not a big fan of patched elbows but I’ll ignore it this once. For this Roar Fearless SR Blazer. The vintage-inspired design and screen print on the back is just too cool to pass up. Brings out something new to this usually mono color. Even the sleeves have like slight fringe going on. Yah know, A twist on the casual blazer. $132.99 from Macy’s.

55DSL’s Fall Winter ‘08 collection will showcase styles and designs derives from the hi-fidelity stereo equipment and twisted references to the late 80’s. Think audio casettes graphics and old LP covers. Try not to miss the colors of hot-red- turquoise and purple. I don’t think you could anyway. Click on the images for larger versions.

We always hear the phrase “Fashion is a cycle“. It may be 2008 but designers will take inspiration from a certain item on previous years, as the case here with 55DSL using the ’80s as an inspiration. I do like the silhouettes. And this is coming from a person who’d prefer it if guys don’t wear skinny jeans unless they’re a rock star. The tees and polo shirts are focal points in the looks. I’m not sure about the turquoise and purple jeans though. But I understand it’s supposed to be what’s the trend these days. I thought it was only for Women, 55DSL says it’s for Men as well.
