For the September issue of Men’s Health Magazine, David Beckham takes front and back covers. The one in the picture is his athletic/health side, on the back cover is his fashion/style side where he wore an Emporio Armani suit, shirt and tie and a vintage hat.
Talking about soccer, David Beckham said :

If you’re going to buy a Men’s magazine this week, Men’s Health’s September issue is the one I’m highly recommending. David also outlined his workout regimen and a very nice interview as well.

Never be trendy
I agree. You must learn and know your style, then cultivate it.

Own 3 Tees
Well at least 3 in my opinion. Pick dark colors like gray, navy and maroon. Each look great as is or as undershirts for a blazer or a jacket.

Here are 10 tips on how a career nomad should travel fuss-free.

Go when your head is right

Go Alone
It’s annoying to have someone beside you constatnly saying, “hey, look at that”.Make an effort to cross a border, on foot if possible
It’s quite a revelation to be at the place where 2 countries never meet.

Bring a bag you can carry onto a plane and lug for about a mile without effort
In lieu of a backpack, bring a duffel bag instead. Unless it’s a hiking trip of course. Locals don’t carry backpacks. You don’t want to stand out and be typecasted.

Bring the right clothes– old but not ragged
Don’t wear shorts in a country where Men wear trousers. No jewelries either. A cheap watch will suffice.

Bring a basic medical kit that suits the conditions
Prepare for malaria, snake and insect bites. Don’t forget sunburns either. Antibiotics are a great idea.

A detailed map of the place you’re headed is essential
A notebook and pen are imperative also. Paperback novel that you can easily give away is good as well

Carry US dollars
Small bills of course

Once you arrive, travel on the ground as much as possible
Avoid planes even if they will save you time.

Don’t bring cellphones or any electronics. Except for a shortwave radio
Cameras are a nuisance and mental distraction. A disposable one might be better.

I’ll slowly go through some of them here at She Knows Best so try to keep up with me . #17 says, Look Great, Longer. This involves skincare and aging. Dr. Carl Thornfeldt, Assistant Professor at Oregon Health and Science University listed 4 ways to smooth out your skin.

WATCH YOUR WORKOUTS
It’s common knowledge, when you exercise, you sweat. Therefore exposing your skin to salt water which in turn breaks down the skin’s defense which will then allow ultraviolet light and pollutants reaching your skin cells. To eliminate 80% of UVB penetration, try working out indoors. If you prefer outdoors, try doing it before 10am or after 4pm.

CHECK THE BACK OF THE BOTTLE
Prescribed cortisones and many moisturizers and cleansers as well contain an ingredient called Propylene glycol. This particular ingredient can irritate the skin which also causes inflammation. So check the labels.

SAY NO TO PROCESSED FOODS
If your diet intake is high in white flour and sugar which both create so-called glycation reactions between molecules in the skin. This reaction binds collage and lessens elasticity hence the skin being susceptible to fracture.

SIMMER DOWN
Histamines is a compound released by having emotional stress which causes inflammation and also disrupts the matrix of skin cells. So calm down, and in order to do that, make your wife happy all the time coz a Happy Wife is a happy household and a happy life is a happy husband. That’s how the cycle of life goes .

Well, this is like a given. Look for herringbone and time tested fabrics like tweeds, gray flannel or chalk stripes. However, wide lapels or tricky detailing won’t stand the best of time therefore opt for moderate styling.

Find Your Decade
For much quality, go for suits from the 50’s or 60’s but the ultimate find would be a vintage suit from the ’30s[inset picture].

Choose Easy Fixes
Linings are easy to replace but patching a hole, covering a stain and alteration of sleeves are another story. So watch out for those details when searching for a vintage suit.

Clean Them Gently
The “miracle of wool” is actually through steaming and pressing suits to loosen wrinkles. Hanging them for a few days is also preferred for the proper shape to come back in all it’s glory.

Well, whether you’d like to participate or not, She Knows Best is about to test if you are vain enough .

For their July/August magazine issue, Men’s Health asked their readers if they’re vain enough. With 5 questions, I guess you could find out whether you need a shot of superficiality, heh. Care to find out your own dose of vanity? Well, whether you’d like to participate or not, She Knows Best is about to test if you are vain enough . Answers are either Yes or No. At the end you can calculate your answers and find out if you’re vain. Oh Joy!

1. Do You Smoke? Yes=0, No=1
2. Do Your Hands Look Like Hell? Yes=0, No=1
3. Do You Use Nail Clippers? Yes=1, No=0
4. Do You Sleep 8 Hours Straight? Yes=1, No=0
5. Do You Have A Healthy Tan? Yes=0, No=1

0-1 point = DO’H, Homer would be proud.
2-3 points = Close but No Carly(Simon).
4-5 points = You probably think this song is about YOU.

So, are you vain or not? Please share. My husband’s score was under 2-3. So he’s just borderline vain
