The looks were heavily inspired by the stylish influence of Duke of Windsor, Rudolph Valentino, Gary Cooper, and Baron Nicolas De Gunzburg. The models, namely Baptiste Giabiconi, Iris Strubegger, and Oriol Elcacho are visions of elegance and fine tailoring from way back when. This is definitely a nice way to pay homage to the fine-cut suits to bring elegance in Spring 2010.

Designers worn by the models for the photoshoot were Dolce & Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Versace, Comme Des Garcons Homme Plus, Yves Saint Laurent, Dries Van Noten , etc and brilliantly styled by JACOB K.

For the September issue of Men’s Health Magazine, David Beckham takes front and back covers. The one in the picture is his athletic/health side, on the back cover is his fashion/style side where he wore an Emporio Armani suit, shirt and tie and a vintage hat.

Talking about soccer, David Beckham said :

“Out on the field is where I’m most comfortable, where I’m the happiest”

“For Me, the training is as important as the games”

Regarding the confidence in his fashionable side :

“I know what I’m doing”

Indeed he does . As for dealing with the chaos aka paparazzi his family has had to contend with all their lives, especially now living in LA :

“To be someone kids look up to is a great honor. What matter is how you carry yourself off and on the field”.

Wow. The soccer coach from Bend It Like Beckham, and Tom Cruise’s side-kick in Mission Impossible 3 gets out of rehab and all of a sudden Jonathan Rhys Meyers has muscles, perfectly subtle scruffy face, chiseled look and a cover for DETAILS magazine. Wearing just white t-shirt and wife’beater shirt, he looks different. But different good .

The face for HUGO by Hugo Boss fragrance also had an epiphany after being on rehab twice.Stating, “I want to do really good things with my life,” he says. “And drinking is not synonymous with that. The [Richard] Burton days, the [Peter] O’Toole days, they are gone.”

A copy of DETAILS Men’s Style Manual by Daniel Peres and Editors of Details magazine is in my hands. The official launch date which I annouced last week is on the 18th but I’ve been itching to run through some of the stuff from book here at She Knows Best. I’m loving everything about it. Daniel Peres and company did a great job compiling all the nitty gritty on Men’s Fashion and Styling. From suits, jeans, shirts, ties, shoes, sneakers, you name it. 12% thinks a Man with bad manners is bad in bed, while 2% thinks otherwise. HUH?. Don’t ask me how chewing with your mouth closed was associated with bed/sex . LOL. But I do agree, CHEW WITH YOUR MOUTH CLOSED, please.

SHUT YOUR MOUTH
60% won’t trust gossipy Men. No shit, Sherlock. If a man gossips more than a woman, then the world has turned upside down .

WISE UP
74% are more attracted to older Men because they have better people skills(or fat wallet, *ahem*) . More women think Men finally ripen between the ages of 26-29. Heh, who are all these women?

RESTRAIN YOUR ROAD RAGE
57% of Men have flipped another driver the bird while 35% of Women has. I can explain this but I’ve decided not to lest I ire my fellow Women .

PAY UP
Women want their Men, respectively, to be good tippers. Again, who are these Women? If my Man gave a generous tip to a bad waiter I’d be snapping my fingers. Hah, go ask my husband. Well, I guess this is directed towards good waiters/waitresses, so I digress

Majority of women prefer manners over income or physical appearance in choosing a partner. If only this was true we’ll all be holding hands, singing Kumbaya……..

HOLD YOUR TONGUE
Male waiters will more likely mess with someone’s food than women waiters would. This is exactly why the PAY UP thing don’t work for me. I’d endure bad food and services coz I don’t want anybody spitting on my food. Hence a bad tip afterwards.

MAKE NICER WITH MOTHER
74% women would like it if they come first before Mom. 89% said a Man should talk to his Mom a couple of of time a week or less. I ain’t touching this one so you guys are on your own
