I’m talking about the skinny tie that Jonathan Rhys Myers is wearing. I love everything that Jonathan is wearing. Even the way he styled his hair. Very dapper, very reminiscent of the early days of Frank Sinatra. Ooh sexy. But I’m not to sure about his long and skinny tie. Too long and too skinny, don’t you think?

Now if only Penn Badgley would uncross his arms then we’d see the whole printed necktie . I’m surprised the Gossip Girl hunk is not wearing jeans with this dress shirt and tie casual wear ala Patrick Dempsey . He looks good nonetheless. The flat-front pants works for him actually. It gives him that timeless look. Kinda like his co-star Chace Crawford’s timeless look a few months ago. Like I said, nice tie . BTW, I like his scruffy face as well.

As far as I’m concerned, Patrick Dempsey can pretty much wear a potato sack and would still look good. Here’s Mr. Versace Man wearing a plaid print shirt, with black tie, jeans and black boots at MTV’s TRL. I thought that was brave of him. Most Men I’ve seen with a plaid shirt and tie usually wear a blazer over it. Patrick didn’t but it worked just fine.

I’m really not familiar with this Jonathan Pease guy but when I saw his white sneakers with this suit on, I almost had a heart attack. White Tie, white vest, black suit and white sneakers. Talk about a major fashion crime. It’s just wrong people.

The only way to amend this fashion faux-pas and still retaining the white sneakers is to ditch the white tie and vest, unbutton the collar, change the black pants into dark raw denim jeans.

Justin Timberlake is doing the skinny tie that is . Oh alright, and Jessica Beil.. LOL. My husband just admitted to me the other day that he’d leave me for Jessica Beil if she’s offering. And it all started by be me saying “she’s hot, I like her booty“. . Anyhoooo, JT looks great in his black suit, skinny tie that has some kind of funky print on it and black wing tips, I’m assuming. I can’t really tell if it’s Oxfords but wing tips is the most ideal shoes for a suit and it slightly looks like it so I’m going for wing tips shoes. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong of course .

So I’m guessing Justin Timberlake is not joining DETAILS on their ban of skinny ties anytime soon? Justin looks great in his skinny tie so I hope they’ll let him off the hook .

Skinny ties that is… LOL. At least not today anyway. George Clooney is perfectly fine using his wide necktie. Here he is with girlfriend Sarah Larson at the premier of “Leatherheads”. George Clooney can do no wrong in our book. Newsboy cap or not . 

George’s fans may hate me for this, but I’m rooting for his girlfriend Sarah Larson. I think she’s A-Okay. I hope she and George stays together, forever and ever and have 12 babies . What can I say, I always root for the underdogs.

More on the skinny ties issue after the fold…

DETAILS wrote an interesting piece about the end of skinny ties. Interestingly enough, the magazine’s Jan/Feb issue’s cover was High School Musical Heartrob Zac Efron and he was wearing a skinny tie with his black on black ensemble. Hmmmm….

What’s my take on the down with the skinny ties campaign? I’m in between. Whatever makes you feel good. Skinny Ties are harmless compare to all the obnoxiously avant-garde clothes those huge designers showcase at the Fashion Week Runways that they expect you to wear in your everyday life. Know what I mean?

I like this Psycho Bunny Striped Paisley Tie in burgundy. The combination of blue floral print and gold tones mixed into the burgundy surely stepped out of the normal stripes or solid collars. I dunno, I just like it, do you? Buy it here.
