As in the previous two seasons, design inspiration is drawn from the archives of Quiksilver’s rich surf heritage, specifically from the art of legendary Quiksilver artist, Simon Buttonshaw. Buttonshaw’s “Tom-Tom” print, which originally graced a pair of boardshorts in the late 80s, is re-issued on a modern boardshort. The print’s colorful Matisse-influenced motif is adapted to t-shirt graphics and inspires the overall feel-good design sense throughout the collection. Remaining true to Quiksilver’s roots, the line seamlessly unites the worlds of fashion and action sports by bringing the upbeat vibe and “lived in-loved-in” aesthetic that are definitive of surf culture to a premium fashion collection.

It definitely shows in the basic shirts from this 2009 collection. These are limited edition that can be found in American Rag, Ron Herman, Lizard Lounge, Blue Bee, and Jacks on Chestnut.
