We’re sad to say we weren’t at the kickoff party for Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Store in Los Angeles but we sure have pictures . So let’s pretend we were there mingling with the glamorous people who attended the party. Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart, Brad Rowe, Dean Cain, Justin Chambers, Jason Lewis, etc, and of course, all the fabulous Men’s Clothes, food and drinks .

The Denim Jacket : How-To

Jean Jacket, Denim Jacket. Call it however you want. My husband calls it Jean, I call it Denim. The title of this blog is SHE Knows Best and the DETAILS Men’s Style Manual calls it Denim Jacket so I guess I rest my case. Hah!

But not quite yet. Let me elaborate further on what the DETAILS Manual says on this universal and classic layer that seems to confuse Men(and Women). Hopefully, after reading this and following the guidelines you won’t be committing any more mistakes when it comes to the Denim Jacket.

BEGINNER:
Do NOT, and remember this like a tattoo of your wife/gf’s name on your arm, Do NOT wear a Denim Jacket with Jeans. A slim-cut basic style with flat-=front trousers and T-shirts is the way to go. This look should be reserved for office.

INTERMEDIATE :
Try one from a corduroy or canvas. This will give you a versatile texture and match-friendly fabric. Now this you can wear with jeans.

ADVANCED :
To add a welcoming texture layer, try slipping a narrowly tailored, undistressed denim jacket on under a corduroy blazer of a lightweight overcoat.

But then again I guess it takes a while to go through the process of combining different ingredients for a perfect scent that you would like to market for Men who could just as easily buy any light scented body sprays, eh? According to Saks, Tom Ford For Men is an infusion of traditional elements with modern influences. Giving it it’s classic wood fragrance which makes it sensual, refined and luxurious. Damn Those HOT Sunglasses

Some would argue that it’s sexy to stare at a Man’s eyes. It’s the way to his soul, blah blah blah. I do agree but there is just something so sexy when a Man is wearing sunglasses. A woman would think “mystery” hiding behind those frames waiting to be discovered. It makes a woman want to get to know the guy more and if she has a wild imagination, will take those glasses off slowly and errrrr ………….. nevermind ……………..

If there are 5 Spice Girls there are 4 kinds of sunglasses : Sporty, Classic, Casual and Dressy. Each of them should always compliment your look and emphasize your best features.

SPORT : The hue of the lens and composition must incline with your activity. You want to be able to see those golf balls, right? A gray tint will cut the brightness without necessarily changing the colors. Prada Linea Rossa, $190, From Sunglasshut.com

CLASSIC: Find a pair that would fit your facial structure. Frames(even oversized) should rest on your nose and temples. Find ones that would balance your jaw and forehead. A good example would be this Aviator from Just Cavalli, $120 form Neiman Marcus.

CASUAL : Anything that would compliment both your skin and clothing is the way to go. Blue-hued pairs would go nicely with jeans while tortoiseshell frames with amber lens matches earth-tone colors. Something like Tom Ford’s Buckley. $330 from Nordstrom.

DRESS : Make it refined by showing some skin in subtle settings. Small lenses gives a formal touch. Oval-shaped faces need downsized pair while rounder faces must opt for contrasting frames with clean lines and sharp corners. A Pilot pair from Hugo Boss is a great example. $120 from SAKS.
