Whether we like to admit it or not, it’s the truth. Women are getting more attention but if you really think about it, Men’s styles in the movies have a lot to be desired. Mention Casablanca for example. Instantly you’d think of Humphrey Bogart’s charismatic character. James Dean pretty much revolutionized the Jeans and White T-shirt look on Rebel Without A Cause. Who could forget the dashing Mr. Cary Grant? You sure can’t dismiss the major influence of Steve McQueen and Sean Connery in the industry. How can anyone forget the iconic white polyester suit that John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever? 2 words, Reservoir Dogs, uh huh!

As for the most recent ones, just think about the Ocean’s Eleven headlined by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon. Sure they’re pulling another con but goshdarnnit, they’re going to look good doing it. Of course this is because the original Ocean’s Eleven were the best-dressed Men of their own generation. Let’s not forget the Urban style we see on our young ones. The suit-community might not agree with baggy pants, blings, colorful and long shirts but the point is, it has impacted the everyday styles of any Men, young and old in the streets of New York, California, or anywhere else for that matter. From suits, to military-inspired looks, to casual, to California surfer, to Urban looks, Movies have definitely touched the Men’s Styles.

Men’s Vogue selected the 50 Most Influential Films On Men Style and I compiled the list for you.
