Marine Layer shirts are custom made from eco-friendly fabric. They are knit in Los Angeles and then cut and sewn by a professional garment maker in San Francisco, then dyed and shrink-washed multiple times in a small dye house in Oakland. Quite a special way in making the shirts, no? The shirts are a special blend of Pima Cotton and Micro Modal which are natural wood fibers from Beech Wood chips. Sure, these dudes may need to throw another $40 at the bouncer to get that “strict” dress code policy waived, but it’s a small price to pay for how much hotter they’ll look dribbling $20 margs on their exposed, baby-soft chests

After reading the entire article at Radar, I tried to recall if I’ve ever raved let alone feature deep v-neck shirts here at She Knows Best. I don’t think I have and certainly wouldn’t start now. Especially after seeing that deep v-neck shirt from American Apparel. Aren’t I the one who keeps telling Chris Daughtry to button up his shirts? .

After posting the $10 Diamond Studded Jeans from Key Closet yesterday I was curious what other stuff they’ve got so I checked out emoda and I’m very impressed. Key Closet is expensive but they have to be. Their tees features metal stones and unique prints unlike any other tees. This Tiger Print Tee has metal studs, tiger print and Asian-style script and a polish brand test in the back. This one alone costs $204. Like I said, expensive but deservingly so.

Tees and Tats is a high end, limited edition, signed prints shirts that are based around Japanese style tattoo artwork and is set to debut next month. Tees and Tats was founded by cousins Jeremy Parker and Ben Parker. The two collaborated with Marco Serio, one of the great Japanese style tattoo artists to create 7 original prints for Tees and Tats’ first collection.

Tees and Tats will produce 700 of each style, all individually numbered and signed by the artist, and begin selling them in boutiques and online this summer. Made from the finest Turkish cotton, the Tees and Tats shirts will be priced to retail for $125-$135. The focus of the collection is to present the shirts primarily as a work of art.

Furthermore, for each t-shirt sold, the Tees and Tats will donate percentage of proceeds to the non-profit ArtWorks Foundation. A New Jersey based program that provides children and young adults suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses, and their siblings, access to creative and performing arts programming which encourages the use of the creative process as a vehicle for healing, communication, self-expression, and personal development.
