First of all, Congratulations to the New York Yankees for winning the 2009 World Series. 27th Championship Baby!! What a way to win it at home in the new stadium. Although my husband wanted them to finish it in Philly, I was a little more sentimental by wanting them to take the game home and win it in New York. And they sure did. Now it’s time for the 2009 World Series New York Yankees Gear. Let’s see what they’ve got.

You love the your favorite brands of Polo Shirts, or T-Shirts like Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, just to name a couple. Here is another new brand that you might want to take a look at. It’s called Marine Layer. It’s not new actually. It has been around for a while. But, they just launched a new collection of eco-friendly casual shirts and a spanking brand new e-commerce site for an online store.

The eco-friendly shirts are interestingly sized as “in-between”. That means it’s not quite small or medium. Just Smedium or Marge for in between medium and Large. And the Larger size and regular sizes of S, M. L, XL. If you don’t find your size then I don’t know how else to help you buddy. Maybe you’re just not quite sure yet. Marine Layer shirts are custom made from eco-friendly fabric. They are knit in Los Angeles and then cut and sewn by a professional garment maker in San Francisco, then dyed and shrink-washed multiple times in a small dye house in Oakland. Quite a special way in making the shirts, no? The shirts are a special blend of Pima Cotton and Micro Modal which are natural wood fibers from Beech Wood chips. If you are a fan of the bold tattoo designs from Ed Hardy brand, let me introduce to Dong Dante Clothing. The graphics could rival any Ed Hardy shirt anytime. Although, I might be favoring Don Dante shirts now coz the colors and designs are more cohesive and perfectly blended. See for yourself.

The colors are bold, the graffiti styling is eye-catching but it’s not as explosive. It’s easier to take. You know what I mean? The color schemes are blending nicely. I’m not surprised at all since Don Date works with the best urban artists out there. Currently, he’s collaborating with Darren Brass and Cope 2. You might have seen Brass in that very popular TLC show. Miami Ink. Cope 2 on the other hand is huge among the new generation of street artists in New York City. Who Wore The White Shirt The Best?

I love a man who wears a basic white t-shirt and jeans. Simple yet clean, refreshing and it’s pretty much a classic casual look for any Men. A lot of celebrities sure have pulled this look effortlessly and made a lot of women swoon. Yes, present company included.

2 Hollywood Men tried the look today. Penn Badgley from Gossip Girl and James Lautner from Twilight movie. One of them looked great, the other one was, well… you’ll see.

James Lautner wore his white t-shirt and jeans combo for a Cool (Wet) magazine photoshoot in Malibu beach. Talk about a Wet T-Shirt moment, hah.

Penn Badgley

Penn Badgley wore his own white t-shirt and jeans combo plus a knit cap around Chelsea in New York City with girlfriend Blake Lively.

Now don’t get me wrong, I actually like Penn but not today. All I could think of after seeing the picture was, “get a shower dude“. Or maybe join James down there in Malibu beach.

Who do you think wore the white T-Shirt the best? I know I know, James was in a photoshoot. I’ve seen other Men wear white shirt before and they were not in photoshoots. They looked way much better than Penn that’s for sure. Now I’m a little pissed because I thought anyone would look good in a white shirt. Judging from Penn’s picture, apparently not. Oh well, maybe some other time. I dig his blue sneakers though.

This Lacoste Classic Fit Argyle Polo shows that a patterned polo shirt is not bad at all. Who else would do it but Lacoste, right?

The screenprint argyle print adds a modern vibe into a classic polo shirt. The colorful pattern and contrasting lines were only done up front making it as subtle and not at all too overwhelming for someone who is not used to having an arglye print on his polo shirt. We usually see the patterns on sweaters or vest after all. This Lacoste argyle polo shirt also comes in a grey and blue color combination. It’s $88 at Nordstrom.

Polo Ralph Lauren Rolled Hem Looks

It was actually Sarah Jessica Parker who started re-introducing the rolled hem jeans look a year or so ago. Then Katie Holmes started walking around in New York City with the same look. Some people criticized her for bringing the look back but to her credit, it wasn’t her who did it first. Now what does this have to do with Men’s Fashion?

Well, Polo Ralph Lauren looks like it’s adapting the look and incorporating it on a few Men’s Fall Looks. Check them out below.

How do you like it? The polo shirts, sweaters, scarves, and newsboy caps are good. The jeans are good as well by itself I’m sure. The rolled hem would probably just depend on the guy, right? The style is not for everybody. It depends on your lifestyle, personality, and style. You can find each of these looks from Dillard’s with affordable price tags. Leave it to Crooked Monkey to come up with shirts celebrating the trends in life nowadays. What trends? Well, let’s start with Cougars. It’s in everyone’s vocabulary these days. There is even a show about it sometime soon in one of the major Networks. I think it’s ABC. And then of course there is the darn Facebook. You have to living under a rock not to have a Facebook profile.

“I’m hunting Cougars” shirt. A funny way to refer to this new trend in dating. I say, more powers to the Women. It’s about freaking time don’t you think? $24.

LRG T-Shirts

Here are a couple of fun LRG shirts that you might like for this Friday night or the weekend. Something to wear for the casual days when hanging out with friends and loved ones.

Camp Pack On My Back T-shirt that looks like you’re carrying a backpack but not really. It’s really cool. Although I don’t see why you would pretend to be carrying a backpack. I think it’s cool? The straps print are on the front with the LRG logo in the center, while the backpack print are on the back. It’ll fool someone. Well, maybe for like a minute or so. $29 from Dillard’s.

How about a Take A Hike shirt? It’s kind of rude and snotty but it still has that cool factor. Well to me anyway. Maybe I’m just that easily pleased. This one is $38 from Dillard’s as well.
