When I opened the package for the Every Man Jack body wash and body bars, I was greeted by the strong scent of citrus. In a good way. I’ve had unfortunate experiences in smelling citrus flavored products and some have almost made me choke just by the first whiff. Not in the case of Every Man Jack. The combination of mandarin orange and lemon flavors are not that overpowering to the nostrils. The scent is strong but the effect is somehow controlled. I knew my husband was going to love it. Let me introduce the items.

We’re jumping from #1 to #17 of 21 Principles of Iconic Style according to Men’s Health magazine September 2007 Issue. I’ll slowly go through some of them here at She Knows Best so try to keep up with me . #17 says, Look Great, Longer. This involves skincare and aging. Dr. Carl Thornfeldt, Assistant Professor at Oregon Health and Science University listed 4 ways to smooth out your skin.

WATCH YOUR WORKOUTS
It’s common knowledge, when you exercise, you sweat. Therefore exposing your skin to salt water which in turn breaks down the skin’s defense which will then allow ultraviolet light and pollutants reaching your skin cells. To eliminate 80% of UVB penetration, try working out indoors. If you prefer outdoors, try doing it before 10am or after 4pm.

CHECK THE BACK OF THE BOTTLE
Prescribed cortisones and many moisturizers and cleansers as well contain an ingredient called Propylene glycol. This particular ingredient can irritate the skin which also causes inflammation. So check the labels.

SAY NO TO PROCESSED FOODS
If your diet intake is high in white flour and sugar which both create so-called glycation reactions between molecules in the skin. This reaction binds collage and lessens elasticity hence the skin being susceptible to fracture.

SIMMER DOWN
Histamines is a compound released by having emotional stress which causes inflammation and also disrupts the matrix of skin cells. Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion Is AWESOME

I apologize for lack of a better word to describe how much my husband(and I) love this product. I first introduced Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion here at SKB last June. He’s been using it around his eyebrows and it works perfectly. He even encouraged me to use it in my dry spot problem areas which is my foot/heels. Between the two of us, we still have at least half a bottle because a little goes a long way. You don’t need to apply too much. And you don’t need to keep re-applying through out the day. In our experience, 1 time which is after every shower is sufficient enough. There are a few days when my husband would forget to put some on his face and I could tell right away. So of course I remind him to use Skin MD the way he reminds me to water my plants and take my vitamins everyday .

So yes, Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion is YAY in my husband’s book. And mine too .
