To finish off my month-long Anniversary, I’m giving away a $50 gift card for our last week’s contest. The gift card will be from any merchant of your choice. the winner gets to pick from this merchants list through gifts.com.

The more comments you make, the more chances you have in winning. Check out our daily posts, archives and different categories. Comment, Comment Comment. On May 3rd, I will tally all the comments, pick 5 people who have the highest # of comments, write their names on a paper, separately, put them in a hat, then pick a random winner. I know, classic :).

This is great. So many different comments and some are very interesting. I don’t know how you do it with 9 cats but it has to take a special person. I have a large family and did have two cats, but one has come up missing. We have searched all over the neighborhood, but he is not anywhere to be found. He was a young cat, barely a year old. Who knows, maybe he will come back.
I did not comment for a couple of days because of my Fibromyalgia. I hate having to live like this, pain almost everyday, but I love to write. Sometimes, when its not so bad, it keeps my mind off of my pain. I write stories and poetry, too. Sometimes my poetry really reflects whats going on in my life. It keeps me sane. No one can know what this pain is like unless they have this dreadful disease. Sometimes I think it would be good to know someone else who has it so they can relate. My kids really try, but it is difficult for them when they have never really experienced real pain.
I am not sure if I am suppose to comment on different things, but I noticed that celebrity events is on the list. One event that really interest my kids and I was the talk about Miley Cyrus. We really love her show and all of us were really disappointed in the pictures that her father and her took together. She was always so pure and sweet, but these pictures look like her father is her boyfriend and she is not dressed like the character she portrays on her show. It is kind of sad what the world does to young stars. I honestly wonder if she was really comfortable doing those shots. The worst thing about all of this is it even shows her taking her own picture in a very exposing pose. I think kids get caught up in the attention they get and sometimes regret their actions later. My question would be, what was her father thinking? As a parent of 4 girls and having had 3 boys, one who has passed away, I do not understand how a parent would allow those pictures to be taken. I would not let my boys or my girls pose like that no matter how much money or publicity it might bring. I hope this comment is okay.
I think it is so great that you are giving away $50 for comments. I was just thinking about how nice that is. The economy is so bad right now, I know a lot of people can use that money. I know it has been so tough on my family trying to make ends meet with me on disability, but I also know there are other people worse off than us.
You do still want us to write more than one liners. I hope mine are not too long. haha. I tend to get carried away. I guess that is because I am a writer and have been writing stories since I was 9 years old. I remember I wrote this real cute story involving my classmates and they all loved it. The teacher got mad when she saw me with it and took it away from me. She stuck it in her top drawer. This one boy that had been picking on me all year loved my story and stole it back for me. She never did ask me about it. I thought it was wrong to take it. It was not disrupting the class or anything. We only read it during recess. She was a mean teacher anyway. She was always trying to pin things on me, but I really was not a trouble maker. REALLY!

We had such a hard 2007 — have been trying to sell a house and it caused major family issues — and now that we are finally in escrow, I am feeling so great! Here’s hoping 2008 is a better year for us!
