Instead of a simple ankle strap, many designers are creating shoes with interesting ankle wraps or straps that go around the ankle a few times. These sandals put the attention on your feet with their special details.
Recently, I came across the Michael Antonio Devin sandal, which features a thick double-wrap strap along with a simple design. In the front, these flat thong sandals are pretty basic, but the closed heel cup and wrapping strap give them some extra oomph.

These sandals come in a variety of bold colors including the fuchsia and turquoise versions pictured here. Priced at just $39.95 at Endless, these Michael Antonio sandals are a great buy. A word of warning — I wouldn’t recommend shoes with thick ankle straps or wraps to women with short legs. The straps cut across the look of your leg, making your legs look even shorter.
