Feeling Blue? Get Beautiful Blue Shoes

Blue is probably the most underutilized color in shoes. We see plenty of pretty pinks, purple, red, yellow and orange, but not enough blue, in my opinion. However, I was thrilled to see some of the Resort Collections for 2010 are incorporating amazing shades of blue. Here are a few of my favorite blue shoes available at Neiman Marcus.

Want to splurge on a pair of crystal sandals? Check out these blue Karung snakeskin slides accented with floral crystals across the vamp. As you probably know, exotic skins are hot right now in shoes and handbags. But it’s rare that you see a shoe that combines the soft texture of suede with an exotic skin. With these Christian Louboutin pumps, you can see just that! These brown sueded python pumps are simple gorgeous.

I’m usually not a fan of striped shoes but these Christian Louboutin pumps caught my eye. These funky pumps feature gold and black striped haircalf and a sky-high covered heel. These pumps would look fabulous with your favorite little black dress or many other fall fashions.

Fringe is In for Spring

Fringed boots, shoes, handbags and other accessories were very popular for fall and winter. That trend continues for spring 2009 as we are seeing many fabulous fringed shoes from top designers.

Christian Louboutin introduced this bold fringe pump in bright magenta suede. These shoes feature a buckled ankle strap that is accented by a layer of dangling fringe.

These Christian Louboutin pumps are definitely not for the faint of heart as they are certainly attention-getters. I think these shoes would look terrific with a little black dress or colorful slinky frock for springtime. If you love these pumps but don’t like the color, they also come in black. Christian Louboutin Emerald Suede Pump

Emerald green and the other jewel tones are hot for fall. If you love green, these Christian Louboutin suede pumps are a terrific option.

These shoes feature a round toe, covered platform and tall stiletto heel. These are on back order right now at Bergdorf Goodman for $695. With red sole, these green shoes remind me a little bit of Christmas. However, I really like them. Green is one of my favorite colors, but I really don’t have enough green suede shoes.

For a completely different look, consider the Chloe collared pump in green. The collar gives it a bootie-like appeal. This shoe is $600 at Neiman Marcus.
