Feeling Blue? Get Beautiful Blue Shoes

Blue is probably the most underutilized color in shoes. We see plenty of pretty pinks, purple, red, yellow and orange, but not enough blue, in my opinion. However, I was thrilled to see some of the Resort Collections for 2010 are incorporating amazing shades of blue. Here are a few of my favorite blue shoes available at Neiman Marcus.

Want to splurge on a pair of crystal sandals? Check out these blue Karung snakeskin slides accented with floral crystals across the vamp. There’s something fun about this shade of turquoise blue. It’s like you know you are going to have a blast when you are wearing these shoes. These blue suede shoes feature a knotted detail over the peep-toe and an adjustable ankle strap. These Christian Louboutin platforms are priced at $895.

Dolce & Gabbana Denim Leopard-Print Pump

Party Shoes: Bourne Micha T-Strap Sandals

For holiday parties, winter galas and other special occasions, you need a fantastic pair of dazzling evening shoes. Recently, I came across these black T-strap sandals at Nordstrom that are simply gorgeous. The Bourne Micha T-Strap Sandals feature rows of cascading sparkling stones and large jewels over the peep toe for some sparkle.

These sweet sandals have a back zipper for easy entry and a 3 1/2-inch heel. These black satin sandals are perfect for an evening out. They are priced at $235 and come in European whole sizes. If you are between sizes, order the larger size.

If you want something a little different than basic black, these Bourne sandals also come in grey or rose satin. Though the black are versatile, I personally adore the grey!

With their 4 1/2-inch heels, you have to be comfortable with high heels to wear these pretty sandals. Though many women are steering away from sky-high heels, I think they are worth it for a few hours out at a special event or party.

If you are looking for a hot sandal to wear on vacation, to a summer party or anytime you want to add some glitz to your wardrobe, check out these flat sandals from Pedro Garcia.

I normally don’t like shoes that are so flat, but for these I’d make an exception. These Pedro Garcia flat sandals are just gorgeous.

Giuseppe Zanotti Crystal Fishbone Sandal

From a distance, I just loved these shoes. Close up? They are just too weird for me.

A silver metal crystal-encrusted fishbone accessory creates the T-strap of these shoes. Though it’s beautiful and delicate … it’s shaped like a fishbone!

I love the black satin combined with the stacked stiletto and all the glitz, but I just can’t get over the fish design. Maybe if they chopped off the head, I’d feel better!
