As you probably know ruffles continue to be a hot choice in fashion. From ruffled blouses peeking out from under suit jackets to sexy, one shoulder ruffled dresses, cascades and tiers of ruffles are everywhere. Today let’s look at this ruffled shoe in terrific fall colors.
The Fergie Lavish pump is a d’Orsay sandal with a thin ankle strap and a ruffled heel cup. These gorgeous suede shoes come in your choice of black, brown or plum suede. The plum (which leans more toward cranberry than purple) is a fantastic choice this season, but I fell in love with the brown.

I normally don’t like shoes with a high vamp, but these new shoes from Elizabeth and James have a sophisticated, modern look that I really love. If you aren’t aware, Elizabeth and James is the fashion label of Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. The Olsen twins are considered modern day fashion icons by many, so it’s not surprising that the label is churning out some unique designs.
Elizabeth and James features a mixture of menswear-inspired pieces with some very feminine designs. From blazers to mini dresses, and of course shoes, you are sure to find something you like from this line.

Sometimes I see shoes that are absolutely beautiful, but I know that I would be fearful of wearing them because I wouldn’t want to ruin them. Usually these shoes have some sort of embellishment that I can imagine getting scratched, scuffed or broken. When I saw these Valentino crystal-encrusted bow pumps, I absolutely loved them. However, I could just picture knocking out and losing the crystals (then crying about ruining shoes that cost a grand).
These Valentino shoes feature d’Orsay styling and a gold mirrored leather upper. They are sophisticated and glamorous. The big bow is completely covered with sparkling crystals. …read more

Readers often ask me about my own preferences in shoes. Well, if you have read here often, you probably know that I hate Crocs as well as gladiator sandals. You probably also know that I love Manolo Blahnik.
Like most people’s shoes, my collection is varied–from beautiful bargains to designer heels to comfy boots. Since I mentioned Manolo Blahnik as one of my favorites, I should tell you that I only own three pairs among my hundreds of shoes. At $500+ a pair, they are hard justify buying regular basis. However, my husband knows that I love them and has splurged …read more
