Old School Cool: Gucci Leather Clogs

When I was in elementary school. I had some cool clogs (well, they were cool at the time). They were the only high heel shoes that this 10-year-old was allowed to wear. From time to time, clogs have come back into fashion but they don’t usually stick around long.

Right now, you can get these dark brown leather clogs from Gucci’s Spring Summer Collection that sort of remind me of my grade school clogs. The Janis platform clogs feature a round buckle detail and goldtone stud accents.

Gucci Iman T-Strap Sandal

Platform sandals will be big once again this spring. Though some platforms look far too clunky and chunky, you can find others that are a little more wearable.

This platform sandal from Gucci is one that I really like. Though the platform sole is pretty thick, the gunmetal leather and double buckle ankle strap make a nice statement.

You can also get these sandals in black, but I think they look much better in the gunmetal. These pretty sandals will definitely cost you a pretty penny. Priced at $1,160 at Bergdorf Goodman, you might have to save up if you really want these.

Gucci Cruise Collection

It’s not even winter yet, but let’s look ahead to spring with the Gucci Cruise Collection. You can find a lot of fabulous Gucci sandals in all shapes, designs and colors, but here are three of my personal favorites.

Gucci Babouska Studded Sandal

I’m definitely not the biggest fan of studded shoes, no matter how trendy they get. They are just too hard for my feminine tastes. However, this studded sandal from Gucci is a little different.

The Gucci Babouska features an open toe, closed heel and lots of studs all over. The dark gold leather is interwoven in a strappy design and covered with goldtone studs.

Gucci Corset Mid Heel Slide

Wow, I love these shoes.

The Gucci Corset Mid Heel Slide comes in both black and white patent leather. These shiny shoes have a unique style with the lace-up side resembling a little corset.

The slick black shoes have a pink lace, while the white shoes feature a black lace. I have already put the white version on my birthday list and that’s not until June!
