For the second season in a row, Rupert Sanderson is collaborating with fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld. The Autumn/Winter 2009 collection was so well received that they are doing it again for Spring/Summer 2010.
In this new collection, Rupert re-interpreted two of his top-selling styles — Asteroid and Finesse. Giving the shoe a more modern, almost futuristic appeal, he designed a geometric heel inspired by Italian architect Gio Ponti. With linked leather straps and a big platform, these sandals are just hideous. I generally like platform sandals but they should have at least a hint of femininity to them.
I’m not a fan of any of the sandals by Star Ling, but this pair is the worst in my opinion. Talk about clunky! Priced at $89.95, I guess their only redeeming quality is they aren’t expensive.
