Again this fall, we will see an array of menswear-inspired fashions. I love the look of combining menswear pieces with something ultra-feminine — such as trouser pants with a ruffled blouse or a vest with a pencil skirt and Mary Janes.

Lanvin Lace-Up Pump
Bronze and brown leather come together beautifully in these lace-up shoes. These pumps feature a chunky 2-inch heel and lots of style! You can order these Lanvin pumps for $620.

Manolo Blahnik Oxford Pump
The traditional oxford gets a feminine twist with its 4-inch stiletto heel. These black and white pumps feature perforated details and a patent leather toe cap. These Manolo Blahnik oxford pumps are priced at $855.

If I had $1,200 to drop on a pair of shoes, these would be it. I adore these gray flannel and black patent oxfords from Lanvin. These gorgeous shoes have a sky-high 5-inch stacked heel. They are $1,195 at Bergdorf Goodman.

L.A.M.B. Chiba Lace-Up Pump

The combination of tan pebbled-grain leather and black smooth leather makes this shoe a very unique choice. The colors can easily transition from summer to fall.

The L.A.M.B. Chiba features a cut-out over the vamp and a cute peep-toe to add some femininity to this menswear inspired lace-up pump. I’m not sure if I love these shoes but they are definitely interesting. If you are going to buy these, keep in mind they have a 5-inch heel plus a 1 1/2-inch platform.

Favorite Shoe Trends of 2007

With 2007 behind us, let’s take a look back at my five favorite shoe trends of the year:

1. Metallic Pumps – I really hated the metallic trend at first. But as the year wore on, I began to love metallic shoes. Now I just can’t get enough!

2. Lace-up Booties – I have always liked ankle boots. So when the menswear inspired shoe boots emerged in 2007, I just loved it!

3. Grey Shoes – Well, grey fashion in general. Grey was definitely the color of fall. I adore black shoes, but grey is a welcome change as the neutral of choice.

4. Patent Leather – The sleek shine of patent adds a little glamour to any outfit. This year, we saw more than just black and red patent leather. Bold jewel tones also emerged as top choices.

5. Flat Boots – This winter we have a lot more options in flat boots. From the furry boots to the UGG Cardy Classic, flat boots are very chic right now.

Two-Tone Lace-Up Pumps by Marc Jacobs

I just love these Marc Jacobs two-tone lace-up pumps. The contrast of the Ice patent trim against Bordeaux smooth leather is just gorgeous.

They have a slight platform and a 4 3/4″ heel!
