There are times when I come across shoes that literally make gasp with a combination of shock and awe. Christian Louboution shoes never fail to get this response from me.  I was browsing through Barneys today and these heels immediately caught my eyes and my heart.

These beautiful shoes are definitely a luxury buy at over a thousand dollars. However, if you feel like splurging, these seem like a wonderful choice.

Here’s one of my current favorite choices from Barneys of New York.

The Manolo Blahnik Mladari is a pony hair Mary Jane pump in a tweed fabric. This shoe features an extremely feminine heel and nice detailing, such as the patent strap and trim. 
You can get these fabulous shoes online from Barneys.com for $645 – pricey, but not overpriced. After all, they are from Manolo Blahnik! 

This gold python embossed slingback from Dior is very unique. It features a beautifully jeweled toe with tiny pearls and other jewel embellishments in its cutout design.
The python embossed leather looks rich and luxurious – and it should. These shoes are $1,450 from Neiman Marcus.
The interesting thing about these shoes is that when I first glanced at them, I thought they were ugly. But after I paid attention to all the details, I now find them gorgeous.
