Polka dots seem to come and go every year. Like most patterns, dots can be worn by everyone in small doses without being overwhelming. The Comeback of the Jellies

Just when we thought all the trends of the 80’s were laid to rest, the comeback of the jelly shoes emerged this summer. I remember my feet sweating in florescent pink jellies in 1982 and the thought of these shoes returning to style sent shivers up my spine.

But some designers have found a way to put a new twist on this old “favorite” that makes them more bearable. And some of them are even downright cute.

These Jenny thongs by Not Rated are actually darling. They come in two colors – smoke and clear plastic. The rhinestone details make them perfect to pair with a casual party dress, jeans or even shorts. Sure, they are still plastic. So your feet might sweat and they’ll probably be sore after wearing them for a few hours, but hey … you’ll look good. I also like Michael Kors version of jelly thong sandals as well.

And Stuart Weitzman somehow manages to make every shoe glamorous – even these Divinyl jelly sandals. The detailing makes them look so great, you can even wear them to a club or a party.

So don’t fret, ladies. Though the jelly trend seems to be back (for now), there are some wearable options!
