Over-the-Knee Boots for Fall

Expect over-the-knee boots to be hot for fall. Though I’m not sure about this trend being able to translate from the runway to real life, designers are churning out these tall boots. From glossy patent leather to luxurious suede, you can find over-the-knee boots in every color and fabric imaginable.
Let’s take a look at a few of the over-the-knee boots available from Bergdorf Goodman.

Gucci Division Over-The-Knee Boots

Over-the-knee boots are definitely glamorous, but I can’t imagine wearing them. Can you?
Gucci offers these stretch and patent leather platform boots that go up to a few inches above the knee. The pattern of the patent is certainly cool and I can imagine some celeb (or stripper?) really rocking these boots, but not much of anyone else.
If you love these boots, tell me what you’d wear them with. I’d imagine a slinky metallic mini-dress with a shiny black patent clutch.
These thigh-high boots are available right now as part of Gucci’s fall collection. Priced at $2,950 at Saks Fifth Avenue, they’d …read more

Christian Louboutin Over-the-Knee Boots

Christian Louboutin Over-the-Knee Boots

Love ‘Em or Hate ‘Em?
Christian Louboutin’s eccentric styles are oftentimes not for everyone. And that’s the case with these Donjon over-the-knee boots. In a plush black suede with tons of gold studs, these boots are certainly eye-catching if nothing else.
Minus a heel, these flat boots have a Louboutin signature red sole instead. Though I love a lot of Louboutin’s stuff, I can’t stand these boots. They seem like something you should find in a second hand store, not an upscale boutique. I can’t imagine paying $2,350 for them.
What do you think?
