Purple Shoes
Purple is the hottest color in fall fashion, from dresses to handbags to shoes. From deep plum to pale shades of lavender, purple shoes will be filling the shelves. Whether you add a purple pump to your work wardrobe or pick up a funky pair of purple suedes boots, that’s up to you!

Riding Boots
If you can afford one new pair of boots this fall, make them riding boots. Flat or low-heeled riding boots will be more popular than ever, coming in a variety of colors from chocolate brown leather to glossy colorful patent.

Menswear-Inspired Oxfords
The heeled oxfords that were popular last year will be back once again with lots of menswear-inspired details, such as laces and perforated trim. This year’s oxford heels offer feminine touches, such open toes and skinny heels.

Pleated Shoes
Everybody is into pleats this fall, from Ferragamo pleated booties to Christian Louboutin’s pleated pumps. Pleats are a great way to add a little texture to your look.

Fringed Boots
You can pull out your fringed boots from years gone by, or spring for a new pair this season. From ankle boots to the tall knee-high variety, fringe is definitely in.

Shooties
When ankle boots got a little shorter, we started call the booties. This season, more and more, they are being dubbed “shooties“. Whatever you want to call them, cute shoe-boots are very hot this fall. It seems every designer out there has a few models of shooties available.

Texture Texture Texture
We have already talked about fringe and pleats, but really any type of texture is trendy this fall – rich suede, fur trim, metal studs and luxurious velvet.

Deep Colors
So, what about color? Purple is a must, but gray (last fall’s hottest color), deep blue, chocolate brown, burgundy and forest green will also be popular.

Patterns and Prints
Look for floral prints to stick around through fall and winter. Dark florals in rust, red and even black will be a big hit. If you didn’t get into last year’s plaid trend, you will have another chance this fall. Plaid patterns are seen in lots of fall shoes, particularly plaid pumps. And don’t forget about animal prints. If you want to take a walk on the wild side, leopard print pumps, snake embossed boots and other animal prints will still be at the forefront.
