Once again this fall we are going to see a lot of purple in fashion. Purple is a regal color that is sexy and sophisticated. I love dark purple colors (like the Mary Janes down below), but the light lilacs and bright violets are also very fabulous choices. Come fall, we are going to see a lot of suede. So let’s get started with these gorgeous ballet flats. The Apepazza Simba flat features a jeweled embellishment on the toe and a rich suede upper. They come in purple, yellow or black suede.

These shoes have lots of nice details, from the tonal jewels to the tiny mirrored heel. Personally, I love the purple version but you could definitely get some use out of the yellow ones this summer (and black flats are always a great staple).

Le Due by Due Farina Era Matronic Pump

Le Due by Due Farina is a relatively new, hip line that adds a little funk and glamour to your look. While Due Farina offers chic evening shoes, Le Due is a little more playful. From hippy chic boots to patent Mary Janes, they have some fantastic choices.

One of my favorites is this glossy Era Matronic Pump. It features a fabulous purple color (Vienna Bordeaux) and a modern design. The gold tone hardware and thick strap give this shoes some extra flair.

Chloe Pointy Toe Flat Skimmers

I am a big fan of pointy toe shoes (and yes, I know they can be damaging to your feet). But can a shoe be too pointy? Check out this skimmer from Chloé.

The elongated pointed toe of these flat skimmers make them look like witch shoes (plus make your feet look really big). I love the color and the cutouts near the back. I adore the glossy patent and the croc-embossed detailing at the heel. But, these are just too pointy for me.

Legendary Fashion Designer Yves Saint Laurent Dies at 71

The fashion world lost an icon on Sunday when Yves Saint Laurent passed away at the age of 71.

Yves Saint Laurent became a top name in the fashion industry beginning in 1957 when he took over as head of the House of Dior at the young age of 21. After returning from military service and establishing his own Paris-based fashion house in 1961, YSL grew to icon status as he re-defined women’s haute couture.

From the beginning, he created fresh, new designs that grew in popularity and remain as fashion staples today, including the trapeze dress and the smoking jacket. Yves Saint Laurent retired in 2002.

As a tribute to YSL today, here are a few Yves Saint Laurent shoes.

Purple is one of the big colors for fall. When I was cruising the web looking for purples shoes, I came across The Purple Store. They sell everything purple – shoes, clothes, gifts, jewelry, cosmetics, kitchenware, even things like purple duct tape and flashlights.

By I digress … I was looking for purple shoes.
