Manolo Blahnik Snake Slingback

From the Manolo Blahnik Pre-Fall Collection, check out these gorgeous snake slingbacks. I have a love/hate relationship with snake shoes. I think it’s been so overdone this last year, that sometimes it’s too much. But then I see a shoe like this and fall back in love again.

These slingback shoes are created from purple snakeskin. But it’s not just purple; it also features other hues mixed in for a very modern, sophisticated look. The heel is just high enough, but not too high. So you won’t dread spending a lot of time on your feet in these.

If you are looking for simple, comfortable and fun summer sandals, check out Sanük. This glossy red patent sandal has an interesting twist – the leather is braided in certain areas throughout the shoe.

Micheal Kors Logo Plate Thong Sandal

Another cute thong sandal is this shoe from Michael Kors. It features snake embossed leather in four different colors – black, natural, yellow and pink.

I love the pink Guava/Flamingo snake version the most. But any of these sandals would make a great addition to your wardrobe. Each shoe features a flexible leather sole, a goldtone Michael Kors logo plate and a small buckle on the slingback strap.

Steven Madden’s Balenciaga-inspired Shoes

Remember these wild $4,175 Balenciaga shoes from last summer?

Well now, Steve Madden has created a mock version – the Steve Madden Bukled, which is only $99.95. It’s not quite the same thing but the concept is really close. This shoe also comes in three other colors – black, cognac and white.

Steve Madden has created a few other Balenciaga-inspired shoes, including these open-toe, open-heel boots. These boots come in the same multi-colored combination as the Bukled, as well as black, brown, cognac and nat nubuck.

The lace-up boots are $149.95, while the Balenciaga originals were $4,175. The Steve Madden version, dubbed the Steve Madden Bombb, is on the right. Close enough for saving over four grand!

If you are looking for an interesting variation of the metallic sandal, consider this gorgeous shoe from Via Spiga. I adore the details of this sandal, from the croc embossed leather to the crystal-embellished buckle.

If you are looking for an evening sandal that is not your typical silver, gold or black, this bronze shoe is an elegant choice. It’s versatile enough to worn with just about any color outfit, but would probably look the best with a black ensemble or perhaps something in a jewel-tone.

These shoes are available at Nordstrom right now for $185 – which isn’t a bad price for a quality evening shoe.
