Blue is probably the most underutilized color in shoes. We see plenty of pretty pinks, purple, red, yellow and orange, but not enough blue, in my opinion. I love the textures that are associated with fall fashion. From cashmere sweaters to wool coats and luxurious leather bags to (of course) suede shoes and boots. Today, let’s take a look at some of the sensational suede footwear available for fall.

Last year, we started seeing a lot of “caged” sandals and booties. And this fall, it’s more of the same. I normally don’t love this style; they oftentimes look like they will kill your feet. But I discovered a caged platforms from Miu Miu at Neiman Marcus that caught my eye.
These suede shoes are available in baltico (navy) or nero (black). They have a zipper at the back of the heel. I’m still not sure that I’d like the look of these shoes when they were on my feet but they certainly look hot on the shelf.

Once again this fall we are going to see a lot of purple in fashion. Purple is a regal color that is sexy and sophisticated. I love dark purple colors (like the Mary Janes down below), but the light lilacs and bright violets are also very fabulous choices. Though they call these shoes “pumps”, they are really ballet flats with a little 1-inch heel. Combining rich suede and shiny patent leather, the Ruby & Bloom pump is a cute selection for fall. These shoes come in your choice of black, espresso or navy.
I’m usually not crazy about shoes with stubby heels. I prefer 3 inches or higher, totally flat, or a curvy kitten heel. These shoes find themselves somewhere above a flat but in no man’s land.
