I’m one of those women who is willing to sacrifice comfort for the sake of style. Though I don’t do it every day, for special occasions no shoe is too painful for me if it’s pretty enough. After all, I’m only wearing them for a few hours. Though it’s probably not the wisest choice, I justify it by the fact that I work from home — most days I don’t even wear shoes. So in the end, I think things will balance out.
If you most wear high heels every single day to work, it’s much more important for you to …read more

Platform sandals will be big once again this spring. Though some platforms look far too clunky and chunky, you can find others that are a little more wearable.
This platform sandal from Gucci is one that I really like. Though the platform sole is pretty thick, the gunmetal leather and double buckle ankle strap make a nice statement.
You can also get these sandals in black, but I think they look much better in the gunmetal. These pretty sandals will definitely cost you a pretty penny. Priced at $1,160 at Bergdorf Goodman, you might have to save up if you really want …read more

Ruffled shoes are everywhere these days. Recently, I have seen some really beautiful choices, such as these Christian Louboutin T-strap sandals and these Martinez Valero sandals.
Now, here’s an affordable option from Poetic Licence. These shoes come in pink or black satin and feature wide ruffles along the T-strap. With a closed back and 4-inch heel, the Body Talk sandal makes a great choice for a party shoe.
You can get these sandals right now at Nordstrom for under $150. Personally I love the pink ones, but obviously the black are more versatile.

When you think about UGG, the first thing that comes to mind is warm, snuggly winter boots. However, UGG Australia doesn’t just make boots.
They also offer an assortment of spring sandals and skimmers in leather with touches of sheepskin detailing. You can get these UGG spring shoes at Nordstrom.com.
One of my favorites from the collection is the UGG Australia Lourdes wedge slide.

Marc Jacobs Vinyl T-Strap Sandal

These shoes are very mod-looking, but are they very good looking?
The Marc Jacobs Vinyl T-Strap Sandal features a tinted vinyl T-strap and cross-cross strap that looks too fragile. I’d be afraid they would snap. I mean, I sure they wouldn’t for $360 but who knows.
The combination of the vinyl, along with the patent leather ankle strap is just a little weird to me. It doesn’t quite mesh right. I like the conical heel, but I wish it weren’t acrylic.
All in all, these shoes are just not my style, I guess.
If you are in love with them, you can find …read more
