Again this fall, we will see an array of menswear-inspired fashions. I love the look of combining menswear pieces with something ultra-feminine — such as trouser pants with a ruffled blouse or a vest with a pencil skirt and Mary Janes.

Manolo Blahnik Tortoise Patent Pumps

You don’t usually see a lot of tortoise shell in shoes. Normally, I think of tortoise for the frames of sunglasses. But Manolo Blahnik has a few tortoise shoes that are excellent options for fall.

The tortoise patent leather pumps feature a gently pointed toe and a 4 1/2-inch stiletto heel. These shoes would be a great choice for the office when you are tired of wearing your favorite black pumps. You can get these Manolo Blahnik pumps for $575 at Neiman Marcus.

Yellow, as you probably know, is one of the hottest colors of the year. Unfortunately, many women think that they can’t wear yellow. If you aren’t daring enough to wear a bright yellow dress, ease into the yellow trend with shoes and accessories instead.

If you have a fair complexion, steer away from pale yellows — they will make you look washed out. Blondes should wear muted shades of yellow, while redheads look fabulous in golden yellows. Bright yellows generally look great on women with dark hair and skin, as well as fairer women with blue eyes.
