Ugly Shoe of the Week: Givenchy Wedges

For some reason, we are seeing a lot of bootie style shoes paired with spring fashions. I don’t like this look at all. Booties are great for fall and winter, but they aren’t my choice when the weather warms up.
They other day, I was at Saks Fifth Avenue and a woman was buying these Givenchy lace-up wedges and talking about how they’d go perfectly with her “floral skirt.”

Eavesdropping on the conversation, I couldn’t help but think, “Is she crazy? What happened to wearing sandals in the spring!?”
Anyway, I decided to name her new shoes as my Ugly Shoe of the Week. They feature a black leather upper, lace-up front and open toe. Personally, I wouldn’t wear these shoes, no matter what the season–especially not for spring. But if you love these shoes, you can get them at Saks for $795.
