Did you ever stop to think what your shoes say about you? They aren’t just making a fashion statement; they might be making a statement about your personality and much more. And it’s not as simple as thinking Valentino shoes mean you have a trust fund. Read on to find out what your shoes say about you.

The Low Maintenance Lady
Low maintenance women wear comfortable shoes. By comfortable shoes, I don’t mean sneakers and flats. However, they are more apt to wear wedge heels than stilettos, and rounded toes rather than pointy. On the flip side, high maintenance women wear shoes that can be easily scuffed or those with delicate embellishments. In other words, their shoes are as high maintenance as they are.

The Bad Girl in Bed
Everyone knows what hooker shoes look like–platform sandals, clear heels and thigh-high boots. But those aren’t the only signs that you may be a naughty girl in bed. Shoes that are preppy–Mary Janes, plaid flats–can be a sign that a woman is a “bad” school girl that might enjoy a spanking every now and again.

The Gold Digger
Women’s shoes in exotic skins are a hot choice this season, but they may also be giving off the signal of a gold digger. Skinny heels, exotic skins, high gloss patent leather all may be indicators that a woman is all about appearances and cash.

The Independent Woman
Independent women have a varied collection of shoes. If you watch the feet of the women in your office for a week, you should be able to tell which ones are the most confident and independent. These women don’t wear classic black pumps to work. They experiment with color and style, from kitten heel slingbacks to red peep toe pumps and hippie-chic espadrilles to luxurious leather booties.

Of course, these are sweeping generalizations. Women’s clothes and their choices in shoes depend on an array of factors–namely budget!
