11th hour shout-out: What are you wearing tonight?

I know you are all probably down to the wire trying to figure out what to wear tonight for your NYE festivities…

I am going to be at an intimate gathering tonight, but still want to look festive. Here’s what I have in mind: From SmartBargains.com, behold this great Yuka Wool Blend Lurex Turtleneck.

A layered look is easy to achieve when the items come ready to wear together. The turtleneck cable knit is layered over knit long sleeves and bottom that ties off to one side. There’s great gold threading shimmering through, making it casual and festive all at the same time.

A great look (for me) almost always involves the right pair of jeans. With my tunic, I’m wearing my favorite jeans – the Chelsea Skinny Stretch cut from Joe’s Jeans. Right now selling for $158 at Bloomies, you too must pick up a pair – they can’t help but make your butt look hot!

Generally, New Years Eve is an excuse to wear strappy heels – and truth be told, I did have those in mind! But, there is ICE outside, I had to reevaluate – and thus, I am wearing my favorite standby suede booties.

These are just too cute for words; they are cleverly tattooed across the back of the calf, and are flat boots, so I am less likely to break my ass in them. Plus they are  shearling-lined suede. There ain’t anything more festive than that! They selling for $79 right now at SmartBargains - I ordered them in several shades!
