I indeed may love shoes (I own a Shoe Wheel and no less than 2 dozen pairs of boots), but I as a rule hate sneakers. In fact, when forced to wear them, it usually involves a good hour of rummaging. (And the one pair I own, I own due to the adorable spirals tattooed throughout. Also, they were a gift, and therefore do not count in this rhetoric.)
Anyway, my torch has been relit, and love anew brews for sneakers.
But they aren’t just any sneakers: Check out the new Melrose style from Fila.
Retailing for $70, they are price-point friendly for this caliber of footwear, they are just beyond cute. Embodying last-season’s preppy plaid fetish and this season’s love for metallics and purple, I have been wearing them all week and getting tons of observational kicks love from v. jealous besotted friends.
Proof positive of a good find!
