My romantic story happened this summer. I went to a party with a guy friend I had known for a few years. Although I had gotten the feeling that he thought more of me than just a friend, I let those thoughts go. The whole night, he acted a little strangely. He then found me talking to some people and asked me to go outside. He took me outside and we sat down. After a few moments, he looked at me and said simply, “there’s something i need to tell you.” As I looked up, our eyes locked and he smiled. He said, “Laura, the day I met you was the day my life changed. When I met you, I couldn’t help but notice your long hair blowing in the wind and your perfect pouty lips… and as I got to know you, I knew you would be the one I would give my heart to. But when I saw all these guys chasing you, I thought, ‘what’s the point?’ and I gave up.” He paused for a minute and that realization made my heart stop. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. He then said, “Tell me, do you have any feelings for me? Can you see us together?” I started tearing up when I came to realize what the answer was. I took his hand and said, “the answer is yes.” At that moment he stood up quickly, helped me to my feet and wrapped his arms around me, embracing me for a long time. He pulled away for a minute and whispered, “I waited for this moment for two years.” and leaned in, cupping his hands on my face and kissed me slowly. It was the most amazing kiss I had ever experienced.

My most romantic summer story is simple, when my boyfriend of 5 yrs told me loved me. There wasn’t any big to do, it was just the both of us on the beach having a soft serve ice cream watching the tide. Being with someone you are so in love with on a warm summer night with just something simple was romantic to me. Isn’t it all about who you are with that makes it romantic?

There are gardens here called Butchart Gardens and in the summer they have beautiful white lights everywhere and fireworks every night! Hubby and I took a walk through the gardens and threw a blanket down to watch the fireworks on a warm summer night!

    It was a glorious evening!

    Thanks

My most romantic summer memory was last summer. I was getting ready to go out for a nice romantic dinner with my boyfriend and it was so hot (and I was totally complaining) and my makeup was melting and my outfit was sticking to me and did I already mention I was complaining? Then my little Yorkie ran upstairs and jumped in my arms…so I had to kiss him and love him and my boyfriend appeared nervously behind him and said…he has a present for you. I looked…my doggie had a ring on his collar and my boyfriend (now fiance) got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. If you are wondering what happened with the ring…we tried getting it off the collar and every time my dog tried to bite us and growled. My fiance still laughs and says my dog wants me all to myself. :) We had an amazing summer meal and lots of fresh summer foods and good chilled champagne and it was a summer night I will never forget. Now I don’t mind those hot summer nights anymore…

My most romantic summer memory was about two summers ago when me and my long time boyfriend went on vacation to this little place in Mexico called Michoacan. There was a smaller place we went to but the name is complicated I don’t even remember how to spell it haha. It was so amazing! Being with him there and the places we went to was just perfect :)

I have to go with the summer of my first kiss. We used to camp every summer and the family in the site next to us that summer had a son my age. We became friends throughout the summer. In August there was a meteor shower and we went to the baseball field to watch it. He held my hand for the first time and gave me my first kiss. I know I’ve had other romantic summer moments, but there is nothing like a girls first kiss!

The most romantic summer memory that I have happened right after I got out of high school. I was at home one day just hanging out, and it was SWELTERING. All of a sudden, I hear a faint guitar sound outside my window. Sure enough, the guy I was dating had somehow gotten hold of a guitar and was serenading me in the brutal sun and heat! And he couldn’t sing to save his life! But it was adorable!

My most romantic summer memory was my trip to NYC with my boyfriend last summer. We just shopped, ate good food, and hung out for 3 days straight, and it was just perfect. But I hope to make more romantic memories this coming summer!

On those gorgeous summer days in southern California, this guy used teach me to surf in Newport Beach and Crystal Cove on his beat-up shorty board. Those’re tough to learn on, so he used to take hold the nose of the board while I was laying on the floating board, and help me battle the waves by helping me paddle out. He’d duck under waves and I’d hold my breath, and we’d emerge on the other side ‘cos he’d pulled us both a little further out, step by step. We’d surf ’till the sun had set and the water got so dark we couldn’t see past the water line anymore. One time, we felt something under the water, brushing past our legs… did not stick around to find out what it was!

My guy and I are in a long distance relationship now, after being separated for school for the past three years. We can’t afford to come see each other very often now, but whenever I feel life is unfair for placing us so far apart, I remember we had the time of our lives.

My most romantic summer memory has been watching the various weddings on the beach over the years. It is such a beautiful and moving site! I have been dreaming of my own wedding and hope to have a beach wedding of my own some day! How romantic would that be!

Champagne at sunset on the deck of a sail boat, enjoying the quiet that comes at that time of day out on the water.

I was up in Yellow Stone national park on hores for 3 weeks one summer and riding over a hill and seeing a herd of buffalo or longhorn sheep was just fantastic. My boyfriend and I were sitting on our horses watching a sunset from the top of a mountain . Thats Romance! P.S. we got married!

  13. Zara says:

My boyfriend rented a cabin in the mountains complete with a red heart shaped tub and champagne. It was Easter weekend and there was a big basket full of goodies waiting for me on the side of the red tub. I opened a plastic egg from the Easter basket and found an engagement ring! So romantic!

  14. Apple says:

Two summers ago was the hardest for me because I wasn’t accepted at my dream med school. I was devastated but my boyfriend stayed with me all throughout. He was there to guide and cheer me up.

  15. Marti says:

For our 25th anniversary we took I trip to Maine and Vermont (lobster 3 times a day), while there we took a moonlit dinner cruise. It was soooo beautiful, we sat on the deck at a beautiful table and ate lobster and drank champagne, with chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.

  16. It would have to be the time my boyfriend ordered a pizza and lighted the Un-candle that 7up was giving away that summer. It was a candle that you floated in a bowl of water. It was such an uncharacteristic thing to do that he melted my heart and hooked me forever, 31 years ago.

My most romantic summer memory dates back to early youth…isn’t it funny how memories just get sweeter with time? :) . I had snuck out of the bunks at catalina island marine institute to meet up with my girls, my crush and his friends to undertake a dare that we could find deer before the sun rose (before counselors came in and found us missing, that is.). Rumored to be nocturnal but proliferous on the island, we split up in teams and wandered the not too far woods, attempting to be as silent as the night. We never did find deer, but 15 year old me held hands with a handsome boy into the twilight hours as we crept through shrubs and gazed on the stars, shimmering ocean and the lights of the camp not more than a mile away. And we did get caught- bunk mates snitched on us all the next day!

  18. Huguette E. says:

My most romantic summer memory is our trip to Paris 2 years ago. My husband is not a romantic and being married for 19 years this year, holding hands is not even happening. In Paris, we just got in the romantic atmosphere. My husband held me as we listen to music in the park and watched the Eiffel towel all lite us, it was wonderful!
