How to massage your dog

Before you begin your massage, be sure to remove the dogs collar. This will make massaging the neck area easier and prevent pause in the activity your pet is sure to love.

  • At the dog’s neck, with the tips of your fingers make repeated circular motions.
  • Slowly work your way down the neck and to between their shoulders. This is a favorite spot for dogs because it’s the one place they can’t reach on their own.
  • Continue with the circular motion as you move slowly to their shoulders. If the muscles seem to be extra tight here, spend a little extra time.
  • Next, work your way down their front legs and around their chest.
  • Work your way back up to between the shoulders and slowly travel down the spine.
  • Continue to around the base of the tail and down their back legs.
  • Repeat as many times you want.

Your dog gives you so much love asking so little in return, is 20 minutes now and again too much to ask in exchange for their unconditional loyalty?
