Jewelry for the Beach

beach earringsI am usually drawn to hoop earrings, but this morning I thought that I would share a set of earrings that would be perfect for the beach… so gorgeous for those times you pull your hair up into a messy updo! And look at all the colors you get!!

And did you know…

Triangle-shaped, light purple amethyst was believed to bring good luck and radiate love
Rectangle-shaped, grapefruit yellow citrine, named after the French word for lemon (citron), which was revered as a gift from the sun in ancient times and is one of two birthstones for November
Oval-shaped blue topaz, also a November birthstone, may have been named for the legendary Topasos Island in the Red Sea where the Romans excavated a stone of this name (but which is now called chrysolite)
Reddish brown garnet, in a pear shape, which are often worn to signify truth and faith and are the birthstone for January
Lime green, round peridot, which is also known as the evening emerald and is the birthstone for August.

Off to look for some sea shells today. Boca Grande has some amazing ones… and they aren’t broken!!
