Former fashion model Martha Lee has created a new accessory collection of reusable totes. The MAKE LOVE NOT TRASH totes are the perfect for the fashion forward recycler. They come in eight styles from the basic tote to the over the shoulder messenger bag.
These affordable bags are not only good for the environment, a portion of sales goes to a great cause. Lee’s mother, Vicki, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Seeing her mother suffering, Lee wanted to do something proactive. Therefore, a portion of each sale of the Make Love Not Trash totes goes to the Alzheimer Association.
Make Love Not Trash tote bags can only be purchased online at makelovenottrash.com. They are economically priced between $15 to $40.
Right now, you can win one of their most popular styles – the Market Essential tote – here at Shopaholics Daily.

Winning is simple. All you need to do to enter is to leave a comment here on the blog about your “Green Resolution” or an eco-tip that you want to share with other readers. Personally, I try to carpool whenever possible and never drive when my destination is within walking distance.
You will be automatically entered into the giveaway drawing with your comment. One random winner will be selected from all the commenters to receive the Market Essential Tote in their choice of pink or black. We will also select two runners up to receive the Make Love Not Trash Promo Tote.
The contest runs through Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11:59pm CT. Please only enter once and leave your email address in the appropriate spot so that we can contact you.
Thanks to MAKE LOVE NOT TRASH for sponsoring the giveaway.

I am no longer drinking bottled water. I purchased a KOR ONE Personal Hydration Vessel and am using that filled with my own water from home to save on the number of plastic bottles we throw away each month. The number we are saving in our family is substantial! If everyone did this, what a significant impact it would make!
We recycle and try to buy locally whenever possible.
My eco-tip is to reuse the plastic bags that newspapers come in for picking up doggie waste on walks (and to recycle all other plastic bags at Wal-Mart or Kroger’s).
I’m trying to use tote bags for my grocery shopping.
This eco-tip
for us is tough,
but we just realized
we’ve got too much stuff!
So for each new ‘thing’
that comes in the door,
out goes something else
that we’ve had before.
The thrift shop, a charity,
family, or friend,
our list of recipients
it has no end.
It makes us think twice
before we get more stuff
because, after all,
enough is enough!
; )
Ah, a classy tote! It would sure beat hauling those ratty paper shopping bags back and forth until they disintegrate!
Great bags – my disabled but wonderful wife of more than 39 years would just LOVE the black one – Thank you for this wonderful contest and prize!
My family has started recycling cans and it is a great way to earn extra money while saving the environment. What a great prize, love to win that bag.
I love the pink bag! Thanks!
One of our new years resolutions as a family was that we are not going to be using paper plates, cups and napkins because they are so convenient. This is going to prevent a lot of extra garbage in our house. I do love the pink tote.
My tip that I don’t think a lot of people already use is to consider buying cloth napkins instead of paper napkins. Everyone already does laundry and cloth napkins add a touch of elegance to dinner.
I am trying to wash all my clothes in cold water.
I take my eco grocery bags to the store with me and I turn off the heat whenever I leave the house
These are so cute! Whenever my family goes grocery shopping we bring tons of reusable bags with us to carry all the food and stuff home. It’s also fun to have a game with the rest of the family — see who can take the quickest showers, see who remembers to turn their lights off when they leave the room, etc.
I am trying to not buy any products with excessive packaging.
I really like these totes. When i am walking i bring a paper bag to pick up trash as i walk. Also i stopped buying indivual serving size foods.I buy in bulk, and make the servings myself
We’ve been working hard at re-using everything we can — bags, towels, etc. And I’ve been adding to my kitchen cabinet with cool vintage glassware/bowls, etc., instead of buying new things. They look just SO much cooler anyway!
My green resolution is to learn to compost and recycle more. Thanks for the chance to win.
My Green resolution is to compost more kitchen and yard waste so our garden produces more fruits and veggies. Thanks for the giveaway.
Use tote bags! I’m so sick of going to the grocery store and seeing shopping carts loaded with double bagged plastic bags – come on people totes are even easier to carry then the plastic, it’s good for the enviroment and they aren’t expensive plus most stores give you money back when you use them.
I reuse plastic baggies by washing them and turning them inside out to dry.

I carry a water bottle with me at all times so I am not tempted to buy bottled water or colas. The pink totes are very attractive.
buy rechargable batteries — they’re much better than they were a few years ago
I’ve been using rechargeable batteries for years. I also pick up any trash I see when I’m out and about. Parking lots are the worst!
I refuse to buy food in individual packaging. What a waste!
We compost and recycle. Keep boxes in the trunk for groceries to cut down on needless bags. Also have a growing collection of reusable bags.
My green resolution is to start to compost! Thanks!
I recycle and reuse everything I can.
I recycle and reuse as much as possible. I started a compost pile!
My eco friendly tip is to change all the lightbulbs to CFL’s. We spent about $100 outright but got that money back in 2 months time on our Electric bill. It’s way worth it.
And these bags are awesome! YAY!
grow more of my own orgnaic food
I try and conserve as much water as I can.
i try to make sure no unused lights are on and i have changed all my light bulbs to energy saver bulbs
My resolution is to use less water. am going to get a barrel for collecting rainwater.
I try to recycle, go to yard sales, use freecycle, donate to Goodwill, and the set heater low and use layers to keep warm!
We are trying to recycle more!
i want to make the switch to CFLs, i already put one in my room, i like them because they’re dimmer, i love dim light it makes people look amazing! hahaha!
We recycle & try to buy recycled products.
I love the pink bag!
We are trying to recycle more and also teach our 3 yr old about recycling.
Composite for our garden uses up organic waste .
I am trying to never go grocery shopping without my tote bags. I also purchased a new front load HE washing machine and I am experimenting with Soap Nuts. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!
I am recycling more.
I use canvas bags to do my shopping,no
plastic or paper.I put my trash in recycle bins
and seperate.I use energy saver light bulbs.
I turn my thermostat down and save gas by
combing trips or reading as a group. Thanks for
