Patent Handbags for Christmas

Merry Christmas to all the shopaholics out there. I hope you all are having a fantastic day, celebrating with friends and family.

I’m of the opinion that a girl can never have enough handbags or enough shoes. Thus the reason, my closet it is overflowing and I have purses that still have tags on them. Is it an addiction? Probably. Is it fun? Definitely.

My handbag collection consists of bags in all sorts of shapes, sizes and price points. From a wicker shopper that I bought an estate sale for $3 to a Marc Jacobs satchel in brilliant blue patent to a ruffled Prada clutch, I love them all.

On the Christmas Day, I was fortunate enough to add two patent leather bags to my collection.

Badgley Mischka Carla Satchel
I adore this patent satchel. Priced at $375 retail (or a little less at Endless), I actually got this bag from the sample sale site Gilt Groupe for just $88. You heard me – under $100!

Dooney & Bourke Chiara
The drawstring Chiara has always been one of my favorite silhouettes from Dooney & Bourke. Here it gets all dress up in glossy patent leather. This bag comes in several colors, including Bordeaux, Black, Mink and the one I received – Plum. Absolutely fabulous! Thanks to my husband for being awesome. You can get this bag at Nordstrom for $345.
