In my son’s case, he gets really bad skin allergy. His face gets dry to the point of scaly dry. There are a lot of prescribed ointments and over-the-counter stuff out there but most of the time they’re harsh. My son got my sensitive skin. We both prefer mild and light moisturizers. I remember that my daughter still have something left of her Aveeno Soothing Relief Moisture Cream. What could be more mild and light than a dry skin cream for babies, right?

It has been 3 weeks since he started using it and his face has cleared up. And I could tell right away when he’s forgotten to apply some on his face coz the dryness comes back. As long as he does it everyday using a good amount of the Aveeno cream I think his face will stay fresh and smooth.

DISCLAIMER : This is not a medical advice in any way. Please consult your children’s pediatrician before using any products for your kids. Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream worked for my 10 yr old son so I figured I’d share you his experience. Results may vary.

I’m addicted to moisturizers. So it’s not surprising that my kids are too. My son has his own set of moisturizer which he needs to be reminded to put on everyday. I’ll talk about his brand some other time. Right now, here are the top 5 baby moisturizers that I’ve used and still using for the baby girl. Of course they’re not all applied at the same time..LOL. I just happened to have a supply of all of them just to make sure I have options and sometimes stores don’t have some of ‘em in stock so I try to use different ones. But these are the 5 baby moisturizers that I tend to lean on more often.

Johnson’s Baby Lotion. The classic choice for ever baby and kids. I even have a small bottle of this in my purse that I let my son use when he forgets to put lotion on his face and we’re already out of the house.

Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Lotion. This became a favorite last year after finding out that it somehow helped with the baby girl’s allergic reaction to carrots.

Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion. A new discovery which is becoming a favorite. It’s very soothing which I can attest to since I find myself applying in my hands as well .

Gerber Grins & Giggles Baby Lotion. Besides the Johnson’s Baby Lotion, this was the alternative lotion I used with my baby when she was born. As well all know, babies have very sensitive skin after delivery. This very gentle and mild to baby’s skin.

Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. This is a must have in every household in my opinion. It’s good for everybody. Babies, kids and adults. I sometimes use this for diaper rash. It works like magic.

*I haven’t tried this out yet coz I’m saving the box when baby really needs it. Thank goodness she hasn’t but I have this in hand, just in case.

DIAPER RASH CREAM

This unique zinc oxide formula with soothing oat essence and natural willowherb starts to work on contact to soothe red skin and effectively treat diaper rash, while the effective barrier helps prevent it from getting worse. When applied at the first signs of redness, moms saw visible improvement from the first application. Apply cream liberally as often as necessary with each diaper change.

The last statement is sooo true. I’ve always used Vaseline on my baby but it takes a while for the rash to go away and of course the greasiness on the first application is a little annoying. Aveeno Diaper Rash Cream is my new favorite baby product. My daughter had diaper rash 3 days ago and it was gone the next day. No more rednes.. I kid you not. It really works. Sinceit works instantly, you’re saving a lot of money. I’ve used some other brands with my first child and has occasionally with my second but nothing works like Aveeno’s. This gets my 2 thumbs up, all the way.

Seriously, my baby has the most sensitive skin in the world. Thanks to Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Lotion, she doesn’t seem to have that problem anymore. The combination of lavender and vanilla are supposed to be calming and relaxing agents but my daughter’s skin reacts to it positively in more ways than one. I’m sure the oatmeal formula is doing it’s job in moisturizing her delicate skin. What I love even more is that it’s not greasy and is very lightly scented.
