As I’m sort of a shopaholic, I’m so so excited to be a part of this blog!

My awesome friend Kori Ellis (B5 Beauty/Style channel editor and author of Shoe Blitz, as well as a zillion other things) shall be co-writing this daily account of all the awesomeness we find in our …. market research…(i.e. shopping incessantly).

For the most part, Kori will be posting here about beauty, and I’ll be posting about fashion - but there’ll be an awesomely fun mix from both of us. If there’s anything in particular you wish to see, please leave comments and send emails!

Making Shopping Easier

I guess over the coming months, you are going to see malls pulling out all of the stops to get you into their stores, not to mention relieving you of your money. Here’s what is happening.

Your own Personal Little Computer on your Cart… A Wi-Fi-connected, RFID-enabled touchscreen device which will guide you through malls and help you buy.

Consumers and Virtual shopping… it’s all about online shopping. The aim is to make it as convenient as possible and to save you time.  You have to admit, it makes shopping around for the best prices a whole lot easier and there is no sore feet at the end of the day!! But it is still wise to choose stores that you are familiar with and be sure that you understand the return policy is. Just think that in your Mother’s time, this would have been unheard of.

Internet Shopping Scams…  Consumer Protection Commissions are beginning to pop up everywhere. This particular article describes what they are looking for in Australia. So what is triggering the red flags?? Guarantees that seem just too good to be true! We need to be aware of that as well! If it sounds too good to be true… it probably is!

Men Shop as Well so… the latest fashions are sporting lots of pockets for men so that they don’t have to carry “murses” or man purses.  Lets face it, there are a lot of men who simply don’t feel comfortable carrying a bag… convenient or not, so if they can incorporate more pockets into affordable pants and jackets (which they are trying to do), we have a winner. Knowing this should make shopping for our sons a whole lot easier with the holiday season fast approaching. My husband just doesn’t carry anything more than he has to anyway.  He hands it to me!

end of season sale at Neiman Marcus

You are going to like this sale. Neiman Marcus always has the yummiest fashions to drool over and this time of year… even more so. There are tons of sales taking place and then you get to chop an additional 1/3 off. Now how often does that happen??

I picked out just a few things that caught my eye. Doesn’t get much better than a good sale. So what do you think of these Manolo Blahnik heels? They were originally $635… marked down to $476 and now because of the sale, you get to take an additional 1/3 off.

I think that I’m liking this Vera Wang dress way too much. And those Manolos would look perfect with it don’t you think??

Vera Wang lavender label

It’s just sooo simple that it works and yes, it’s on sale too. It was originally $325.00, marked down to $293.00 and now even less thanks to the 1/3 off.  Think that I had better stop now. ;)

No, you aren’t dreaming!
