Private Web Sales – Thanksgiving Edition

There’s obviously going to be the normal slew of daily private sales this week – but it’s also the unofficial start of the holiday season. For that reason, alone, expect bigger and better deals – and more reason than ever to rationalize splurging on special pieces.
For instance, ideeli is hosting a special Thanksgiving series between today and 11/29 (Sunday). Check out the info below for just a sampling of what you will find there! (I am faklempt. And not just because I have jet lag and am easily overstimulated.)
Each day will commence a new sale, in all sorts of …read more

Cheap Tweet: Bargain-Hunting on Twitter!

As I continue my search for Black Friday and Cyber Monday awesomeness, I find myself perpetually returning to Twitter!
It just makes more sense, for me, rather than scouring the stores, and circulars, to do as much research as I can online – hell, I do most of the actual shopping online anyway!
I’m not alone: Aaccording Deloitte’s annual holiday survey, 3 out of 5 consumers plan to use social media to find big discounts and coupons this holiday season. As Twitter is more popular than ever, it’s not surprising it’s becoming a great way to do a lot more than status …read more

Nine West Black Friday Sales!

The sales keep on coming!
Look what’s happening at Nine West this Friday:
Beginning at 5am online , the Bonfire, Polen, Husky and Mezmorize styles will be 50% off until 11am. After 11am, the styles will still be 30% off!
Behold how cute they are…how can you NOT be tripping over yourself getting your fix?
Also pretty sweet is the Nine West partnership with St Jude Children’s Research Hospital -  if you donate $1 or more in store or at NineWest.com, you’ll receive a coupon for 20% off your next purchase in January. It’s suddenly more economical to give charity than not to!

Black Friday: Apple Rumors

Black Friday: Apple Rumors

For several months now, I’ve been giving serious consideration to the purchase of a new MacBook.
I’ve been putting it off though, because, let’s face it, it’s a tough economy – and it’s not the best time to delusionally “treat yourself” unless you are darn sure you can afford it. Especially in my line of work.
However, there’s been rumors of fabulous deals at Apple on Black Friday:
According to purportedly leaked documents on the tech rumor site Boy Genius Report, Apple is gearing up to offer a series of post-Thanksgiving bargains on products from iPods to MacBooks.
The deal, allegedly good only on …read more

We don’t have Black Friday up here in Canada and just last year I had to ask what it was all about. Well, now I know and have been watching for stories coming down the pipe line about this very topic. With the economy the way it is, I was curious to see what they were saying about the big day and sure enough, I just found an article in my email box just this morning. It was all about getting ready for the shopping experience and what you should and should not do. …read more
