Pick from either Oscar The Grouch or Snoopy Mini Fine Go Green Layered Tees. Oscar The Grouch layered shirt says “I Recycle My Tantrums“. that sounds funny and aggravating at the same time..hehe. Leave it to Oscar The Grouch to think of something clever. Snoopy on the other hand keeps it cool as always with “Keep it clean, keep it green” slogan.

Each Layered shirts are currently on sale for $24 at Macy’s. Something for him to lounge around in this winter at home or save it for early Spring.

Keep his noggin warm with these Old Navy Camouflage Fleece Hats. They’re very sporty, comfortable, stylish and will keep his head warm for the winter. It’s $7.50 each but if you buy 3 or more, you’ll only pay $5 each.

So you could buy those 2 gray and green camo print fleece hats, then add another hat in a basic  color of maybe red, black or orange. The orange sounds cool, doesn’t it?

For $5 each, I’d probably pick up 4 fleece hats for my son. I can always save the others for the future. If you have more than one child, OLD Navy is a good place to save. One for each kid. A girl could either have the red or orange. Accessories all around.

Marc Ecko Cut and Sew sweater vests that are on sale for $17 each. Pick from a Knight graphic print or classic Argyle print. Each would look stylish over a solid color long sleeves dress shirt. For a dapper look, add on a tie with the shirt.

The knight graphic print is fun while the argyle print is considered a classic print that everyone should have. Thanksgiving outfit maybe? Just pair it up with khakis and boots.

I came up with something more expensive, BUT, I made the right decision in doing it this way coz all the stuff I found for the costume, except the fedora hat and  whip, will transition into his regular wardrobe and winter clothes. Let me show them to you.

Fedora Hat and Whip, from Ebay for $14.99

tan brown polo shirt, Old Navy, $9.50. I settled for a polo shirt because I couldn’t find a plain light brown dress shirt.

Dark Khakis, Wal-Mart, $10

Dark Brown Sherpa Jacket, Old Navy, $29.99. yes we know, Indiana Jones’ jacket has no hood, ON was my last stop for a brown jacket after searching everywhere.

With the exception of the hat and whip which will probably go into the toy box, the polo shirt, pants, and jacket will still be part of his everyday clothing after Halloween. The jacket will be his Winter jacket for this year since it’s a Sherpa jacket anyway. That $30 is definitely a good investment. BTW, we don’t get much snow, if anything at all here in North Carolina. But just in case, he has 2 other quilted winter jackets from previous years so YES, he’s covered this year .

I’ve already bought my son a new pair of sneakers last month which he will be using most for school so all I needed is a pair of casual shoes. Canvas slipon it is. His optic pair needs a new replacement anyway. He picked this camouflage print from Walmart. For $8, it’s not bad.

Vans slipon after the fold…

Then we saw this VANS classic slipon in blue at the PX with the 75% off tag so I figured he might as well get that too. Originally $25.50, only paid $6. Great deal huh?
