I came up with something more expensive, BUT, I made the right decision in doing it this way coz all the stuff I found for the costume, except the fedora hat and  whip, will transition into his regular wardrobe and winter clothes. Let me show them to you.

tan brown polo shirt, Old Navy, $9.50. I settled for a polo shirt because I couldn’t find a plain light brown dress shirt.

Dark Khakis, Wal-Mart, $10

Dark Brown Sherpa Jacket, Old Navy, $29.99. yes we know, Indiana Jones’ jacket has no hood, ON was my last stop for a brown jacket after searching everywhere.

With the exception of the hat and whip which will probably go into the toy box, the polo shirt, pants, and jacket will still be part of his everyday clothing after Halloween. The jacket will be his Winter jacket for this year since it’s a Sherpa jacket anyway. That $30 is definitely a good investment. BTW, we don’t get much snow, if anything at all here in North Carolina. But just in case, he has 2 other quilted winter jackets from previous years so YES, he’s covered this year .

There’s only a few weeks left before Halloween so I hope you’ve gotten your butt in gear to take care of your children’s costumes . Here’s a couple more Halloween Costumes  that I’m sure everybody would love. A Minnie Mouse and Micky Mouse costumes. Each is $28.99 which is actually a good price.

If 2 years ago Spider-Man was the most famous Halloween Costume among Boys, I’m guessing this year will be Iron Man. The blockbuster movie is fairly new. AND, the movie DVD just came out last week. We love Iron Man in our family too. Surprisingly though my son wants to be Indiana Jones this year. It might be because he’s currently reading an Indiana Jones book.

I can almost see the streets and Outlet store this Halloween. Shimmering boys in red and gold all over the place. Wouldn’t it be cool if there are twin boys or brothers out there where one  would dress up as Iron Man while the other boy dons on a suit to be Tony Stark? I think that would be such a cool sight .

The best bet for an affordable Iron Man costume is good ‘ol Wal-Mart. The online store has it for $19.88 but only available in sizes 4 to 6x. If you visit a local Wal-Mart store right now I’m pretty sure you’ll find one. Good Luck!
