Shopping on the Magnificent Mile

Okay, Britt and I spent the entire day shopping yesterday. We haven’t come close to checking out all the the department stores… which I want to do but what I have seen so far, I’m loving. What I’m not liking is the frigid winds that blow down Michigan Avenue. They are so intense that I had to buy a pair of gloves and a headband to stay anywhere close to warm. When they say that Chicago is the windy city, they aren’t kidding. At times, it’s hard to just stay on your feet.

Red by Marc Ecko Harlequin Baguette Mini Drawsting Tote

I don’t usually go for a handbag this small, but all of the detailing just caught my attention and I decided that I just had to share. Just look at the handles! Actually, look at all of it. It has to be one of the busiest bags that I have seen lately, but it all works!
So, just who is Marc Ecko?? You might be surprised to learn just how he got his start… When Marc Ecko was 20, in 1993, he launched a men’s urban apparel line out of his Rutgers University apartment, aiming to capitalize on his graffiti-artist roots …read more

Charles David… Not much to it, but I Like it anyway

I just heard today that because 2008 obviously ends in an “eight”, we are going to have a very unusual winter this year. I’m hoping that this is going to mean warmer than usual… which would give me a good reason to pick up shoes that look like this! And I’m really liking that icy pink! And if winter turns out to be a snowy one, I can always put them away until the summer  of 2008!
And did you know…
“In 1988, Charles Malka made fashion history with the opening of the first Charles David boutique in the almost unattainable …read more

Fergie Loves Handbags

I guess it was only a matter of time. In the next month or so, you will be able to pick up a bag by Fergie… (if you can get your hands on one.) She has signed with Kipling to release two if not three different lines. And if her bags are anything like the ones she carries, she is a girl after my own heart. She likes variety!! So start saving your pennies. The first release is slated for the fall of this year.
Some people are expecting big things from this line… others think it’s …read more

Just a Little Bit of Everything… but I’m loving this chair

And you thought that all chairs had to look the same. Well, check this one out, it doesn’t look like anything in my house. Kind of funky!

If you have a few spare moments, check out what else this talented couple has to offer. They are practically in my own backyard and I just discovered them. They are scheduled to appear at the Christmas One of a Kind Show November 22 to December 2nd, Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto, ON. What a great way to get all of your Christmas shopping out of the way early!

Tommy Hilfiger Handbags Hartfield East West Satchel

Does that look buttery soft to you?? I’m not usually a big fan of that color, but I just might change my mind in this case. But that’s not all. I found something that just just might come in handy someday.
Hilfiger has a summer home on the island of Mustique, which just happens to be next door to Mick Jagger. Now rent a home on the other side of Hilfiger and you have the makings of a very interesting summer!
And by the way, that purse up there will only set you back $85.00 and if …read more
