I Just Realized…

That summer is almost over. I tend to hold on to my favorite seasons with both hands. But, the days are already cooling down and suddenly my thoughts are turning to my garden. It’s just getting to the point where it is gorgeous. All of my plants are blooming like mad and it won’t be long before I’m going to have to go out there and begin putting everything to bed. What we need is a much longer growing season… but I can take comfort in my books. By spring of next year, the cover of this one is going to be very dog-eared!

Now this is just too cute not to share. Gardening where I live is slowly winding down, but I wouldn’t mind something like this to begin my garden of 2008… yikes, that sounds futuristic!! The years are certainly flying by all of a sudden. But back to the tools…

They come in their own carrying case and check out the handles… they are not your normal boring green or brown plastic. And what is even better is the fact that they were originally priced at $30.00 and now they are marked down to $16.00.

I’ve Been Moaning Lately…

What about?? The fact that summer is coming to an end and winter might be right around the corner! But maybe I’m looking at it all wrong. I can picture myself sitting out in the sunshine on something like this while listening to my favorite music or maybe reading a few chapters of a novel. But, I’m getting away from my topic. I intended to talk about gardening accessories to help put the garden to bed, but I think that I like my original idea of just rocking away in the sunshine.

But you can do what you wish lol…

*But I did find some great little garden accessories that will make the job a lot easier… for when the time comes.

Saturday Means Shopping

It`s Saturday and that means it`s shopping day. And online shopping is getting to be as much fun (if not more) than getting dressed, putting on your makeup and fighting the crowds at the mall. You know where my head is at the moment… in the backyard and I thought that this was too good not to share!! You float this little “guy” around in the water and your pool by night becomes magical!!

It you have the plain ordinary kind of mint in your garden, it’s time to move up to these varieties. I have grown the orange mint and it does have a distinct scent or orange, so I’m really excited about the lime and apple. Just think of all the things you could do with these plants.
