Halloween is less than two weeks away!
I’m still trying to solidify my plans – I have lots of options this year, and each one leads to a very distinct costume choice. Whatever I choose, though, I don’t want to blow a fortune – and I dont’ have to. We can absolutely have a spooktacular Halloween that is recession-friendly at the same time.
My fabulously brilliant friend, Michelle Madhok, Online Shopping Expert and Founder of SheFinds.com, shared some tips to get great deals this season on Halloween costumes.

Can you ever get enough of Lush’s bath products?? I certainly don’t think so. If I need to de-stress after a long day, an hour in the bath with something from this company pretty much makes all the bad stuff go away. And seeing that I love Halloween as much as I ever did, I was instantly drawn to this Witches Ball. I really have to go shopping this afternoon so I can check out the scent. Really curious about how the rosemary, sage, peppermint, frankincense, and myrrh works together. Yeah, just an excuse to go out shopping. …read more
Halloween a Yes… Christmas, not so much

Knowing just how bad the economy is these days, people are doing everything they can think of to put it all aside for at least one night… and that night would be Halloween. I guess there is something in getting dressed up and pretending to be someone else for at least a few hours, or by the look of my street, for the entire month. People are decorating their homes big time in our neighborhood and the stores are certainly not cutting back on the candy that people will be handing out at the end of the month.

Little Vampire in Training! The Vampire Pacifier

I didn’t go looking for a pacifier this morning, I sort of found it quite by accident, but you have to admit, it is funny. Or is it just me? I just finished reading all of the reviews and most feel like I do. It’s just plain funny and when Halloween is over, you simply pack it away so that when your little sweetheart is all grown up and dating, you can get it out and show it off. Isn’t that what parents do lol??

I can’t believe how quickly this month is flying by. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have been away so much of it. But for those of you who haven’t gotten around to deciding, I thought that I would turn my attention to those Halloween parties that should be coming up very soon. I thought that this was kind of cool… The kiss of darkness! Is this you?? And just look at those shoes!!

Kids just love this stuff. As a matter of fact, Britt just asked me why I don’t decorate the house and bake the way I used to. To be quite honest, now that Jamie has his own house and Britt isn’t four years old any more, I just thought that no one would be interested in Jack-O-Lantern shaped cookies… I guess I was wrong. Traditions are more important to my kids than I thought!!

Halloween Caramel Apples, Set of 2

Now how cool is this?? There’s just something about caramel apples in October. Rarely did we ever receive one on Halloween night, but there was once or twice. And as much as I loved them, they didn’t look like this.
*And just in case you were wondering, yes, I’m pretty sure that I could polish off the entire apple in one sitting. But seeing that there are three of us in this house, somebody is going to have to share! And it’s not going to be me.
